THE iDOLM@STER > THE iDOLM@STER 2
iDOLM@STER 2!!

They are dreaming.

I'd doubt they'd remove Jupiter, and they probably have thought about doing so for Komachi and online battles. I bet they wouldn't risk so much on changing the game feel.
--- Quote from: Raestloz on September 27, 2010, 07:39:42 pm ---To NBGI, removing Jupiter is a lot more trouble than putting Ryuugukomachi in, even if they have already made something for those 4. Those hard work making sure the damn guys are awesome-looking would be in vain. That means swearing modellers and animators
Seeing as how they're the whole reason THE iDOLM@STER was made in the first place, I won't be calling them crazy :/ but yeah... they're dreaming too far

Agreed, but only on the dreaming part. They could've made any rival idols from any company (they can come up with a new one off the bat if they wanted to) but chose to have male idols for the same reason some fans are asking for their removal. Romance, hence, shipping.

I have a Japanese friend who is very upset about it, some of the L4U top 20 players are now showing "offline" (which means they've turned privacy settings on), hatima is ending hatimasu... shit is getting real.

What has me worried is that some fan might just snap and try to pull hostages at NGBI demanding changes be made. Kinda like what happened recently with the Discovery Channel after someone got upset with the networks programing. If someone can be motivated to pull a stunt like that over educational television think how much worse it could get over a popular game series.

I would love to see something like this happen. Namco Bandai are one of the shittiest companies around.
This ordeal is really getting on my nerves, though. My friend won't enjoy the new Steins;Gate DLC (which adds crap from the PC version) because Christina (girl in my avatar) is voiced my Asami Imai who voices Chihaya, which reminds him of iM@S, which reminds him of iM@S2 and current affairs.
It seems like many people are jumping the boat from im@s to Dream Club.

Bandai Namco's next April Fools' joke. ^^
... But then, it might become real!

Okay, I was wondering exactly how things were going over there. When your core fanbase, especially when it includes the most diehard of them, are dissatisfied, that means you no longer have a fanbase. Also, the game has the reputation of being the one that caused said diehard fans to leave.
A game without a core fanbase is subject to the whims and the short term memory of current trends, without anyone to keep it alive past the first few months it is released.
... Though it's somewhat amusing that some comments I've seen go along the lines of: as the last game in the original timeline, Im@sDS is our last hope! It needs a sequel now! Save us 876!!!
Heh, heh... ^^;

Well considering the guy who made Dearly Stars was fired indirectly for how poor Dearly Stars did and was received, I don't see any DS version any time soon. You make a game and it does poorly, and you get offed because of it. It's cruel, but that's business for you.
If we start nitpicking over the new danketu, Yukiho is usually shy and it strikes me as weird that she would say anything publicly about boys. And then suddenly, male idols! Yeah, that is not going to go down well.
I never cared for Ami because her voice is like listening to a car motor running at full but her talking about boys makes sense to me. As does Miki, because well, she's Miki.
I will still buy it so long as Chihaya and Yayoi are left alone. Otherwise I will buy Dream Club Zero instead and continue to play L4U.
