... In hopes to become more active on the forum, I'll post my thoughts on the whole thing.

Ryugu Komachi surprised me, but not in a bad way. I love Ami and Iori, so that was a good thing from the start. Azusa was barely doing it for me, but I think her new look and the grouping definitely bumped her up in my list a little. I'm... not too hot on the "smoking" part of the song, but it's probably my most favorite of the ones revealed so far. The three blend well, which also surprised me about the grouping.

Jupiter was also sort of shocking, but again, not in a bad way. I was sort of waiting for male idols, especially since it would bring in more female fans. I love the idea of fan pairings, but that's probably not for too many others here. I mostly approve of them being paired with each other. Touma x Hokuto = -dead-. I understand the otaku explosion on this one a little bit, especially when coming from the world of idols. Idol + boyfriend = incredibly angry wota(idol otaku, basically), which results in the firing of the idol in most cases.

I'm really excited for the game, though! ... I just sort of hope some video maker will be taking requests after it's released, because I will be desperate for my dream units to be put into a performance together.

Well a lot of people are mad about the news but Idolm@ster 2 was the most voted game of TGS. Number 1 of the Future Game Awards. Some will leave but new persons will buy it.

The truth is, even if we get angry at what they're doing, iDOLM@STER is too addictive to leave. ;_;
Though I'm pretty good with everything they've spit out so far. I can live with male idols and Ryuuguu Komachi.
(But I swear I don't know what there is to be upset with Ryuuguu Komachi, because of the previous PVs where those idols are on stage with everyone else)

I understand the otaku explosion on this one a little bit, especially when coming from the world of idols. Idol + boyfriend = incredibly angry wota(idol otaku, basically), which results in the firing of the idol in most cases.

When you have fans who are that into the idols and then you start making them have relationships its going to hurt the fans. Remember that in the game its all about getting closer to your idol, the romance is between producer and idol. Take that to Otaku extreme and you have possession type of obsession going on.

I actually really do not want to see romantic stuff with the Idols either, I'd cry like a baby if my Yukiho waifu got taken away by some smug flashy male idol. <-- this where the Jupiter hate comes from.

It actually dosnt matter what Jupiter do, if Jupiter do nothing at all, ie even if they are gay or something, if the girl idols start drooling over them, that alone is enough to really make the fans mad - just because the idol no longer sees producer-san as the only person in her life.

Hmm I'll probably produce Haruka/Yayoi/Hibiki or Haruka/Yayoi/Makoto or Miki/Takane/Hibiki

Well... I can't produce Azusa.

So, what I'm thinking right now is Yukiho/Haruka/Makoto. Not sure who'd the leader'll be. Preferred guests? Azusa, of course. Other than her... not sure. Maybe Chihaya.

Well, seeing as I can't produce Azusa, I'd definitely have a Makoto/Yukiho/Miki trio unit.

Anything new while I was offline? I've been without power for a couple of days, thanks to hurricane Igor.

I wonder if NBGI would actually revoke Ryuuguu Komachi after having announced it, costumes for it, and a song for it...

I'll (admittedly) pass on signing it, because I don't mind Ryuuguu Komachi. I rather like their costumes, and Smoky Thrill ;D I do almost wish that they'd have made it a system where it randomly picks 3 idols you aren't producing, but when I think about it, that'd add some serious complications to the game, I think.
edit: Though, Ritsuko would still be left out of it all  :-\

I'm sort of disappointed that people actually want to remove the idea. It's something slightly new, and while you can't produce the characters, they ARE still in the game, and will most likely appear on a "free stage" type mode. :/

Nah. I doubt such a system would do that.

Nah. Knowing Namco, they probably won't. But I'm pretty sure they're not gonna go with not letting them be producable in any way (not after we see those dances with the selectable characters, they're not).

After all, we may not be so sure that Namco has been doing everything according to their plan. And we're all suckers for it.....

I honestly think people are getting far to worked up. Have try and have the game pushed back another couple moths then just live with somesort of office mode. Yes, I would be mad about Makoto not being producable, but she's not the only idol I like. It's like the boys fangirls being mad because they can't be proiduced, then signing a petition to ry and get them produced.
