CNN used holograms during the 08 election. If the techs improved it should be pretty realistic when used with the right backdrop

I just saw this now and I have to say, it is amazing. They gotta do this for Im@s. I'd love to see Iori herself up on stage. Heck, I'd like to see all the idols up on stage.

I still prefer seeing Naomi Wakabayashi doing her own singing live, mind you someone that this would help image wise for her character would be Eriko Nakamura, heavens she cannot sing live ><

I agree. I do like seeing the seiyuu sing live, though...yeah, some of them really can't carry a tune live.

Having a virtual iM@S concert would be really cool, and if Miku can do it, I know the idols can (though, Miku has no other choice XDD) Give them enough funding so the live in July can be a virtual one.
