Now before anyone says that this is the first virtual concert, this just needs to be said, for the benefit of those not in the know. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
I do believe there were other lives with Miku, though with a large flatscreen instead of this more reality-bending concert. Even then, UK band Gorrilaz actually did something very similar to this sort of concert.

Now that that's out of the way, these virtual concerts are really neat, I have to admit. Maybe after this, Ban-Nam might have some ideas to bring their idols to life on the stage... seriously, fund the hell out of it. I want virtual Azusa on a live stage. 8U

I've seen that Gorillaz performance, and even though it was pretty neat, you still knew it was on a screen.
 I've never seen a transparent screen before, and the way this one was put to use made me feel like she was pretty much a hologram on stage.

CNN used holograms during the 08 election. If the techs improved it should be pretty realistic when used with the right backdrop

I just saw this now and I have to say, it is amazing. They gotta do this for Im@s. I'd love to see Iori herself up on stage. Heck, I'd like to see all the idols up on stage.

I agree. I do like seeing the seiyuu sing live, though...yeah, some of them really can't carry a tune live.

Having a virtual iM@S concert would be really cool, and if Miku can do it, I know the idols can (though, Miku has no other choice XDD) Give them enough funding so the live in July can be a virtual one.

The only problem is that the developers would have to make new 3D models of the characters because I think the 360 graphics couldn't stand being resized that much.
