-Winter-Olympics-2010- (Summer Olympics 2012)
« on: February 14, 2010, 05:18:25 am »
More eventful than I thought it would be. I usually think it's the lesser of the two Olympics (still do), but man, all the tragic events, mishaps, and falls have made this very interesting.

Thoughts on the games so far. Our very own Cien is there watching them I think. Don't really remember.

Also, America takes 1st and 3rd in Women's Moguls. Badass.
Not as amazing as how America took 2nd and 3rd away from Korea in the last couple of seconds in Speed Skating.

To be honest I have been watching the winter olympics. It's been pretty interesting so far on the first day.

Yep, I'm here in Vancouver now, and I'll be watching some of the events here live. ;D
I had a blast watching the womens moguls, despite the rain and the standing for half the day and the crowds. Congratulations to the two women who got both 1st and 3rd, they really gave us a run for the money.
The next event I'll be watching is a mens preliminary hockey round between Sweden and Germany, which is in a few days.

Lucky! I wish I could be there!  :P

It was pretty cool to see Hannah Kearney win the gold medal in the skiing competition last night. I also watched the ski jumping and the men's biathlon today.

Quite a bit. Anything that is officially Olympic is hugely expensive. Plus, I got some nice stuff on my first week here that isn't Olympic related.

Have fun at the olympics cien. be sure to post some pics or something when its all over.
Oh, I have. I'll be uploading some later. ;)

Also, big congratulations to Alexandre Bilodeau who won the Men's Moguls, becoming the first Canadian to win a gold medal in Canada.

It's okay, you guys took the gold medal for snowboarding away from us last second or something.

Lucky Cien is at the Olympics 8D; have fun~ and here i'm only a province away

I actually don't watch much of the Winter Olympics, maybe hockey, but that's about it.  I'm more interested in the Summer one.

We beat Canada at their own game, in their own turf.

Bow down.

Knock it off, we don't need it rubbed in our faces. Besides, we're still in the quarter finals, so we still have a shot.

Speaking of hockey, I'm seeing a game tonight; Slovakia vs Norway. Sad that I'm not going to see a game with Canada, but no big deal.

Tomorrow and Friday, I'm going to see speed skating, then I go back to Newfoundland on Saturday.

He was in short track speed skating, which he finished third in a few days ago. I'm not sure if he's going to be at the event I'm going to today.

Also, US is against the Swiss in men's hockey. I'm not exactly sure who I'd want to win... ;D

I think I caught a glimpse of the Canada vs. Russia hockey game today.

~_~; 7-3 was it?  Good job, Canada~

And I think Canada won another gold in woman's bobsled? (-only saw like the results after the third run-)
