Translation Project - iDOLM@STER SP - We Need People!

Has the translation project died? From what I can tell there hasn't been any significant progress since Yukiho's route was finished back in 2012. I'm pretty happy just having Makoto and Iori's routes translated, but I'd really love to have Ritsuko and especially Azusa's routes translated too =<

The text previewer is broken. In the past this would be used to see how the text would fit in game. This is important as without it you could have text running off the screen making it unreadable. It's certainly not a product you can just translate in email then release.

Is there any information out there about what is broken with the text previewer?  I played through each of the translated routes (and untranslated as well) and noticed the text running out of the text box and assumed it was a "dialog window limit" requiring that it all fit in the same number of windows as the Japanese version but was confused to discover the journalist glitch where all the dialog branches print out before being asked for a name which seems to contradict that assumption in a way.

I would like to contribute to this project as well but I'm wondering how much information is still out there from the original translation group so we can understand the hurdles that were already overcome and the issues that caused it to be dropped in the first place.

Hello everyone, I have spent this past weeks searching through tlwiki's archive and checking lots of old files related to this translation. I have put together some instructions and stuff about how to patch/repatch the game and:

• Add some older translations (dated from between 2014 -2016). Sadly Ritsuko/Azusa/Futami routes are still unfinished.
• Edit and translate extra images and files
• Find a way to fix the daily emails without crashing the games.

You can find more information and instructions to apply the patch on the patch files, I hope that it's ok to post something like this in here (previous versions of these have been posted on previous pages of this thread, so I'm guessing that it should be).

Hello there! I don't think anyone checks this thread anymore (a shame since my friends and I only really like the SP games for their accessibility and easy emulation), but there's a glitch I noticed in English, where sometimes with the e-mail appointments the game cycles through EVERY possible scenario before the event begins, so its a little disorienting to read.
An example would be the reporter telling you their name (i.e. I'm Takagi of TV COMBO), and then the game cycles through every choice scenario (i.e. You must be Takagi, You must be Hoshida, You must be Honda), and then it goes through every possible outcome, and then AFTER all that, the event starts where you have to remember the studio/person.
I'm specifically using Wandering Star, so this might be a glitch exclusive to that version, but my friend plans on playing Perfect Sun since it's the only fully translated one and our friend who's semi-fluent in Japanese can't translate all the options with the short time limit, especially on a stream. Just wanted to report the error - thank you to the team for all their efforts and I hope the game can be completely translated someday!
