After digging around the pl scripts like 10 minutes ago, I've found out that most of them were written in Windows (am I right?). That caused problems when I added #!/usr/bin/perl at the beginning of the pl scripts and attempted to execute it under OpenSuSE with it complaining that it can't find  #!/usr/bin/perl^M.

Luckily there is a quick fix for it which was use the dos2unix command to convert all of the pl scripts back into Unix text format.

And now when it came to your script to grab all of the translations off the wiki, what happened was it added the <nowiki> tag. Is there a way you can make that perl script to strip that <nowiki> tag at the beginning of the file?

<nowiki> is ignored by the GUI program, so there shouldn't be any problems. Just recreate the archive with unchanged files.

About running scripts, run them as perl name.pl, not name.pl; perl doesn't care about newlines or hashbangs.

That is true in the Windows versions of perl. But if a experienced *nix user attempted to execute the script like a shell script, I think he might be pulling his hair why there wasn't a hashbang to begin with.

The very moment ``Experienced unix user'' whould have seen the error about ^M not being a correct interpreter, he'd have run the script with perl.

He could have done that, but sometimes it's more convenient just to enter the script without adding perl right in front of it.

That's just my 2 cents on the scripts.

Update: And about the imas-patcher program, did you try compiling it with MSVC8 or ICL? I find that MSYS's GCC isn't really performing to what I am used to seeing from my AMD Box. If I do sucessfully compile imas-patcher using VC8 or ICL, I will share my builds for everyone to use. (Of course I will flip on -O3 and -Oi during compilation...)

Even more updates: To simplify distribution, I might want to link the Qt libraries statically into the patcher so we only need to distribute only one file, two directories.

Sorry for the double post, but the imas-patcher 1.2SVN has been compiled under MSVC8 with PGO and statically linked Qt libraries. Compared to the original version, this version has been modified for the following changes:

- __attribute__((__packed__)) has been replaced by pragma pack() due to the incompatibility between GCC and M$VC or ICL
- A manifest file has been embedded to remove the annoying UAC prompt that Vista users get when running the patcher
- Source code is pulled from SVN revision 20
- Statically linked Qt libraries to reduce the size of the patcher from 11MB (including external dlls) to 7MB

I haven't really tested this patcher much, but it should work without too much problems. I've only tested it against my copy of Perfect Sun and it does seem to run fine.

Cool, thanks for that. I wanted to release static version myself but didn't want to bother with building it, since it apparently takes more than just adding few lines to project.

Yeah, it took my AMD box over 4 hours to build the Qt toolkit for VC++ and another hour to fix the code to use pragma push and pop. But it was a rewarding experience for me. Now at least I've seen how Qt is programmed.

And you can't go to office mode with this version
only the costumes will work too
I have 2 psps with OFW and CFW
so i tested it heehee it's great

Office mode works fine. Who's PPF patch are you using btw?

I dunno i just started the game and it worked not the office mode though(in another memory stick, it worked)
You tried the Lines Page at tsukuru? It has a lot of mistakes, i think

Hello, kind of new here.
Just got a game from the DL page. I noticed the scripts are still not complete. I would like to offer some help. Though, am not that good with Japanese, I think, I can still pull it off somehow. If I'm welcome, please do tell. I would love to be a part of this project.

By the way, I haven't read the posts here. I got a small problem:
I've downloaded the game, provided in the DL page,saved some of the scripsts to test it, followed the "patching" process and all but, when I got the game on my PSP and started playing, there were no translations. I did read everything that is needed to be read (I think..). I just not sure if I missed something.

Question: Do I have to remove the Japanese lines in the scripts (the ones inside the 「」’ｓ　＆　（）’ｓ) and replace them the provided translations, or just leave them be? Because the dialogues were just replaced by ・あ・・・れ・・うぇ.. and didn't translate anything at all.

If I did miss something, do tell. Thank you.
