Gunpla
« on: December 07, 2009, 03:14:35 am »
I thought we could use a Gunpla discussion thread. Be it to show of pics or swap info on models.

Im kinda at a quandary now though. Im planning to purchase the 1/144 HG AEU Enact, but im not sure which color to get. Ali Sacheez's Red or Blue one or Patrick Sour cola's light green one. =/

(reused previous image from the figure thread)

My collection. Not all are gunpla, but they're still mecha kits.

Most of them were okay to build but I hated the R-Gun Powered: the High Twin Launchers are a TERRIBLE fit. They're much too heavy and the joints connecting them to the body aren't strong enough to hold them. You could always cement them but the point about a Gunpla is being able to pose in any position.

Dygenguar also has a lot of loose bits that like to drop off the moment you handle it.

If I do get enough time on my hands and the space to put another model, I'd be going for either the 1/144 Strike Noir, 1/144 Strike Rouge IWSP or the 1/100 Strike E.

This line in my signature will be removed when Idolmaster Xenoglossia is included in Super Robot Wars

Not a bad HGUC at all, MILES BETTER than the crappy MG.
Imo, the main CCA mobile suits had crap MGs (Nu's head was too big, Sazabi's proportions were just screwed up), but the HGUC finally does it justice.

Also, I really want a MG Turn-X, though I suspect it being MG number 200, just to go in line with Turn-A...

[edit]
As for my model making, I hadn't done it in a while, mostly since all my tools are back home in Hong Kong, along with 8 kits I haven't even opened yet.

And yet, I want to get the Armored Core White Glint kit from Kotobukiya. That thing looks amazing.

I've got a couple of older model kits, and both were rather easy to build. One was the God Gundam from G Gundam, which I painted, and another is the Gundam Alex, which I began a custom paint, then just abandoned it and put it away. :<

Other than those, I have a Wing Gundam action figure and a RX-78-2 Gundam/PF-78-1 Perfect Gundam, which was part of the Gundam Fix Figuration series.

Oooooo... I might get the HGUC Sazabi next then. Taco was telling me about how hard it is to build an Armoured Core set. XD

If I ever get an MG I'll get an Accguy. =P
