Anime Trends for better or worst, YOUR opinion

lisondra22:
"Yuri and Yaoi" - What do you think about this? FAGANIME
"Tsunderes" and "Lolicons" sell a lot today.
"Moe" are for freaking anime-girl loving otakus. Yet they sell the most. And also "Tsunderes","Lolicons" and others are part of this category.
"Harem" animes are declining due to overuse in the past

But yeah, that typical Parody Anime that tries too hard to parody EVERYTHING and yet fails. Lucky Star is one of the few that succeed.

Only a few "Parody" Animes succeed because there are only FEW parody animes. Some animes have some few parodies but i don't think that it would make that a parody anime. Still Lucky Star is a good example.

apparently no one understands what moe means :K
silly websites and subs using them incorrectly

loli and tsundere do tend to sell more, also lets not forget the stuff like queens blade lol
shota, loli and yuri are the 3 things i think are slapping down the popularity.

Sev:
please feel free to correct me but isn't moe when a character has qualities that give the reader a strong urge to protect said character. and if im not wrong then moe is easily confused with loli. which would mean that loli slaps down moe's popularity because people think that loli is moe.

please forgive me if im wrong and do correct me ASAP

lisondra22:
I don't really know the meaning of this otaku term "Moe"
I'm only a normal person that can watch 100 episodes of anime every week.(My work has a lot of freetime that's why)
I'm not an otaku either.

h4ataraxia:

--- Quote from: myself ---'moe' is not a separate genre or term of animu
moe means anything that you find arousing, something that turns you on, or basically means 'fetish' like megane-moe, tsundere-moe, etc.
moe is an otaku cut-off term of moeru (燃える) witch means to heat up or used as a self-adjective it means you're feeling fired up.
:K

--- End quote ---

i dont blame you guys if you got it wrong, but thats what moe really means

otaku is another word that america has corrupted.
dont feel proud to call yourself otaku cause otaku is another word for hikikomori except your reasons are for games and anime instead of being totally jobless and lazy.
it doesn't mean "anime fan" it actually means "anime freak" someone who is a psychopath for anime.
if someone in japan calls you otaku, feel free to compare yourself with a sexual predator, stalker, or a victim of manslaughter.
