Going by Cael's list of the most popular on this board, Miki is least popular while she's wildly popular in Japan. Ai is pretty popular here, but from what I can tell Japan is pretty indifferent to her. Wonder why that and the various other discrepancies are? It'd be interesting to conduct a similar survey of the Japanese fanbase.

Funny because Miki, to me, is totally American.
I can imagine her being American and when my parents or friends see me playing the game, they're like, why is there an American girl in there and why is she speaking Japanese?

Maybe that's why Japanese people love her so much?

Maybe that's just it. If they like her because she seems foreign, maybe that's why she's less popular over here (because she doesn't seem foreign to us in general?).

Though, I agree with Maka, it would be neat to see the popularity of the characters with the Japanese fanbase~

I guess Miki can be seen as a foreigner because of her blonde hair or something. 

Anyway, Geez people, how could you hate someone as adorable as Yukiho.

Actually, for that list, lower numbers are better. It went: favorite (1 pt.), like (2 pts.), indifferent (3 pts.), dislike (4 pts.). Maybe I should've reversed the scale, but eh.

So, Miki is the favorite while Iori... isn't.

I personnally only have Idolm@ster 2, but here are the numbers of times I've produced my favorite Idols for that game (For 6 playthroughs in total) :

Miki: 6
Yukiho: 4

I knew I wasn't the only one who considered Miki "American". (It's probably the main reason I like having her be the lead in Ai Like Hamburger.  ::))
