Ahoge

Anybody else notice/agree that a majority of all these new characters are sporting too much ahoge?

I kinda liked it but damn, these people are making it into some sort of boring standard....

I guess in a world where people's hair looks almost the same, this is the only way to make the stand uniquely apart. lol

When 5 Muppets come together, you get one heck of a gaming team!

I have to disagree with the definition. Hair antennae =/= ahoge.

Ahoge = single lock of hair
Hair antennae = two locks of hair

In general, characters with hair antennae don't display ahoge-type traits. Although I do agree that having a bunch of hair sticking up from the head seems to be getting very common nowadays.

For Azusa, Miki and Manami, yes.

But for characters like Makoto, Ritsuko, Ai, Ryo and the others, I think the term antennae is more appropriate.

You may call it antenna, but I personally think it's ahoge. Their 'antenna' is much too thick. I still believe it's ahoge at that width.
