I absolutely love the Tales series and all, but this is just lazy...

Here is the actual DLC video.

http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/1269231744

I personally don't like the new costumes that much. The costumes aren't bad but they seriously don't need to go copying costumes off another anime like Tales of the Abyss. I really wish they would come up with new remixes for the songs in the game like first stage and Aoi Tori.

The Kotori drama looks pretty interesting though I must say.

Fixed. ToA was a Game first, anime second.

Anyways, meh, I kind of liked some of these remix versions, so I might get them or something, but eh dunno. Maybe I'll wait till next catalog, see if they do something, iunno, different? Not that I'm expecting it. =3=

I wouldn't call it lazy. Just unimaginative. At the very most, getting costumes from their other games is sorta like fanservice, since I'm sure there are like tons of Tales fans who fantasizes the idols dancing in said source's outfits. :| And no, not saving their skin, but it does take effort to bring them as DLC idol outfits, so yeah.

I guess what Namco could've done is do some alteration to the costume for other idols. Some of them do NOT match these costumes.

They could be using that effort for original stuff ;_;

...I feel that I might be kinda critique-y because...the Overmaster catalogue. WE KNOW THERE IS SUCH POTENTIAL! Why aren't they using it?? XD

Well, what do ya know... I have to admit, I like Anise's dress, but I still feel if they're going to continue comeing out with crossovers, the dresses should be different for every character.

I agree, if they were to keep doing the TOA costumes.
I would prefer some more original costume designs, though. I'm sure that I've mentioned this before, but I think the costumes used for the Master Artist covers (Ritsuko's gothic dress, Makoto's Michael Jackson-esque costume, etc) would be excellent to have as DLC.

Yeah you have a point Cien.  They do have designs sitting around like what you've mentioned, so it shouldn't be hard coming up with new content.  I'm surprised they never used the Autumn Collection outfits for anything since those were pretty well crafted and thought out.

i think outfits for fall collection are more for kodak moments than to be used to swing around dancing on stage.

That's like saying "Swimsuits are more for swimming than to be used to swing around dancing on stage". Sure they are, but they have swimsuits up for DLC. XD
Considering that it's a game, I don't think they'd really apply 'limits' like that.

though swimsuits and 10 layers of scarfs and sweaters are a different thing
but i do get your point, they DID put up a stupid astronaut and kindergarten outfit for DLC, its like using a gun to smack people instead of shooting it amirite? just for those slow people who like to toss a grenade without pulling the pin, the last statement is a metaphor including this one

Not sure about the head accessory (what IS it?) but this DLC, I like. School uniform and loose socks / leg warmers.

Still wishing for more original costumes (this costume was DLC for the original 360 iM@S, wasn't it?) and songs, but this will indeed do.

What Pizza said -- Kapibara-san!

Quote
Kapibara-san is a character created by Banpresto. At the beginning you could only get a Kapibara-san from toy crane vending machines. But people wanted it so much that they started selling it everywhere, different sizes, different colors, T-shirts, books and all kinds of merchandising. It is interesting how they managed to create a phenomenon just from a boring and simple animal (A capybara). The point is that it is really “kawai” (cute), and Japanese love “kawai” stuff. I like it!

I want one It's really cute, haha; then again I'm all for cute things.

I don't mind the school uniform -- the leg warmers don't looks so good though X:

Songs are meh -- I was never a big fan of the remixes.

darn no drama ]:

I rather like some of the remixes, but man, Makoto sounded terrible singing the remixed 9:02pm in that preview...
Anywho, the new costume is rather plain, but at least it isn't another Tales outfit. I rather wish there was a new song in this catalog, though.
