Anyone playing Halo Reach? I've found myself playing that a ton. It's an excellent distraction from real life.
I used to have IMAS as my service tag (if that was okay), but I changed it to NERV now that I'm Lieutenant Colonel. It feels just an extra notch cooler. I might change it back in the future (if that's okay).

One thing that peeved me though... Bungie didn't include my trademark "Rampancy" emblem in Reach. Now I use the standard "Crossed Swords." It made me so mad when I couldn't find it in the lists...

So if anyone want's to join forces in Reach, message me. But I'm trading Reach back and forth with a friend for the time being until he gets it for himself, so I might not be online all the time.

Oh yeah. And my HaloCharts sig is only there until Bungie makes a Reach sig that I can use.

I found out my dad recently got Sengoku BASARA: Samurai Heroes for the Wii. Not my first choice of console to play a hack 'n slash on, but oh well. I've never played a BASARA game before and this gave me an excuse to try one. T'was an enjoyable experience.

Looks like you haven't figured the trick out. When you're waiting for a game, if you haven't gotten into a game before TK says "American warriors", then you're gonna end up in a "dead end lobby". Just back out when he says that and try again.

As for a Co-Op game, just add me. My crappy gamertag is the same as this crappy username. :D

Props to marx for the sig.

I thought I'd just give Last Ranker a whirl to see what it was like. I thought maybe I'd play it for a little while to get down the basics, then leave it for a while and come back to it once I was through with some other games I had waiting.

... Five hours later, I don't think that's happening. Perhaps I've only seen the beginning of it, but right now, I think it's a really good game.

Battles are pretty cool. You only control one character, (take off every) Zig, and you can take as many actions as you like in real-time RPG fashion, as long as you have the SP for it (you gain back used SP when you do nothing). There's a default action for every button, including guard. As well, you can bring into combat with you two of four styles, switching between them as you see fit, and can assign unique equipment setups, skills (which can be big attacks, support abilities, or stat boosts), and one Ultimate Attack to each style you have. I've seen counters in the game, too, but I haven't gotten them yet. The four styles all boil down to: twin swords (damage), sword and unarmed attacks (guard break), sword and gun (avoid counters), sword and shield (increased defense). They each have a unique style action for their intended purpose.

Certain enemies (other humans) do have skills they'll use on you, you'll learn their skills when you beat them. Some also have Ultimate Attacks, which you can interrupt with timed button presses. The kicker is, this is how you learn them: if you fight someone and stuff their Ultimate Attack, you'll get that attack when you beat them. All the humans you fight have a bit of personality as well, complete with a descriptive one-liner in both English and Japanese. Hoffman loves his family! (That one made me laugh.)

The music is awesome, composed by Yoko Shimomura, done in an orchestral style that kinda reminds me a little of .hack and Yuki Kajiura at times. Character designs and the general atmosphere of the game remind me of Dragon Quarter, always a good thing. The guy responsible for Etrian Odyssey directed the game, so those of you who liked that game might find something you like in this.

So if this game ever comes stateside, and I get the feeling it might (the English is romanized very well and not a spelling error in sight so far, though the wording is awkward at times), as of right now I'd say check it out. This could possibly go down as one of my favorite games ever, no easy feat. We'll see once I get further.

Yeah, someone who is always playing the nerdiest game ever doesn't have the right to say other games are gay (especially iDOLM@STER). But, it's all opinions.

Now how can Idolm@ster be "gay" when the game is about a MALE producer developing relationships with various FEMALE idols? lol.

I'd hardly call that an insult, especially since the guy doesn't even know what the word means.

I know the Iron Eyes will guide me!

I rented the new Goldeneye game a little while back, and I was most pleasantly surprised. No nostalgic value whatsoever, but it can be all 100% remakes all the time, right? Besides, I think Rare would have had a problem with Eurocom (the developer of the new Goldeneye) if they just completely copypasted the old game and updated the graphics. Online is actually pretty good, but expect a bit of lag. A very refreshing reimagining of both the original game and movie, and a definite buy if you are a Wii gamer.

I have currently rented Blood Stone, and so far it's alright. One main thing that bothers me is that you can't crouch... and yet you have to sneak around. Strange. Driving segments are pretty fun.

If a game is full of guys, it's for guys, and vice versa. That's the sad way certain people's minds work. Ignore him. Your world would better off not trying to get him to change his mind.

Well, I'm outta games (sans going later for YuGiOh WC2010). I was thinking of going back to Paper Mario for the N64 some time later.

I recently had the urge to play Ascendancy so I downloaded that and a DOS client.

Played a little while as the Minions, but now I'm facing off against six other hostile races as the Chamachies. One of them has already declared war on me (funnily enough, it's the Minions). Bring it on, I say.

Everyone, prepare yourself for a wave of people saying they've played Black Ops.

I wasn't that interested at first, but after seeing some reviews, I'm mighty impressed. I especially like the new "money" system in the multiplayer, where you earn cash to buy the unlocks you want. Now you're free to go after a specific build you want, instead of grinding to a certain level for a gun/perk/gadget or achieving an objective with a certain gun to unlock an attachment or skin. Apparently, the game is much better balanced, too, which is a great improvement over MW2.

I might get this... if I even HAD ANY MONEY. >:(
