Games, Games, GAMES!! (Besides iDOLM@STER, of course XD)

- I've only suffered through World At War. The damn thing lags on my laptop (but MW2 runs beautifully), things happen that totally break the immersion of the game (USMC troops appearing out of nowhere--at least have them spawn somewhere I can't see!), and the utter ridiculousness of some of the levels. And Grenade Spam. You thought it was bad in most COD games, Singleplayer WaW it is RIDICULOUS.
Bloody Hell, if the Japanese had THAT many grenades in World War II, they would have WON!
But while I really hate World at War, it's not that which really gets my ire.
It's Treyarch's Quantum of Solace game.
I mean, all they needed to do is put out a generic FPS based on Bond using the CoD engine and it would have been passable, but NO, they have to put in their stupid point-and-click melee combat system, and a duck and cover function that more often than not gets me stuck to walls when I'm trying to run away from gunfire.

- As it should be.
Played a bit of it during the Multiplayer Beta, it's a little bit different from the old BF2. Should always remind myself that you CAN blow up buildings in this game, it would have saved me a lot of trouble if I remembered that more often.

I completely fail to see what Activision is trying to achieve here, and I do hope that IW perseveres through this.
I have to wonder why people love Infinity Ward, but absolutely despise Treyarch? I rather liked their COD games. They're making the next one, too, which from what I hear is going to be quite interesting; I've been waiting for a good Vietnam War-based FPS for a while. :)
I've been playing a lot of Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer recently for some reason, and I just picked up Bad Company 2 and played a bit of multiplayer with Scotty and h4ataraxia a couple of nights ago. Playing BC2 is much different than in MW2; your character actually feels like he has weight/inertia when he's moving, so it will take some getting used to. Also more realistic; no regenerating health or any of the other silly stuff in MW2 means you need to be more strategic... and VEHICLES! Vehicles you can actually drive! Being nose gunner for Scotty's helicopter was a blast, that's for sure. ;D

Do you guys play the concole one or the pc verion?
wavehawk:
PC. I suck at console FPS (I don't care what the Console guys say, thumbsticks are NOT more intuitive than a mouse!!!) and only barely manage when playing Halo 3 on a friend's 360.
Cien Laguoire:
I'd be playing a lot more PC games if I had a proper gaming rig. :3c
Just finished Bad Company 1, and fully moving onto BC2.
Picup:
finally got my hands on a copy of Valkyria Chronicles -- playing through that whenever I have the time while my copy of XIII is... some where in my room :"D;;
I also really want my wii back, I bought Fragile -- and my friend ends up holding it hostage because of my lack of my wii orz. ~_~;;;
