I have to wonder why people love Infinity Ward, but absolutely despise Treyarch? I rather liked their COD games.
- I've only suffered through World At War. The damn thing lags on my laptop
(but MW2 runs beautifully), things happen that totally break the immersion of the game (USMC troops appearing out of nowhere--at least have them spawn somewhere I can't see!), and the utter ridiculousness of some of the levels. And Grenade Spam. You thought it was bad in most COD games, Singleplayer WaW it is RIDICULOUS.
Bloody Hell, if the Japanese had THAT many grenades in World War II, they would have WON!
But while I really hate World at War, it's not that which really gets my ire.
It's Treyarch's Quantum of Solace game.
I mean, all they needed to do is put out a generic FPS based on Bond using the CoD engine and it would have been passable, but NO, they have to put in their stupid point-and-click melee combat system, and a duck and cover function that more often than not gets me stuck to walls when I'm trying to run away from gunfire.
Playing BC2 is much different than in MW2;
- As it should be.
Played a bit of it during the Multiplayer Beta, it's a little bit different from the old BF2. Should always remind myself that you CAN blow up buildings in this game, it would have saved me a lot of trouble if I remembered that more often.
