Ya know, I've seen a lot of translation comparison pics, but they don't mean anything to me unless they got the original Japanese too. Otherwise, all I can gauge is the writer's skill in writing English, than in translating from Japanese. That being said, there are some translations that don't even read right in English. Spoony is the most famous, but the first time I heard that illest was a word, it was from a pretty bad translation. It's supposed to sound natural in English!

I actually did look at the script from Awakening. Some things were changed or made a little different... for the most part, I could live with it, but I thought Valhart's translated lines were particularly tragic. He was not the Valhart I remembered in the Japanese version.

Street Fighter V just came in the mail today, along with Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition!

Now it's time to actually turn on that PS4 of mine. Optical to RCA stereo converter should come today so I can use my stick with my game and still hear things. I guess it's Fire Emblem if 'til then.

Awesome.  I played both games, and they're worth it in my opinion.

You'll have to wait for those free future updates (more content) for Street Fighter as the game doesn't have much on disc content.

Devil May Cry 4 SE was actually my first Devil May Cry game. My personal favorite action games are Ninja Gaiden II (xbox 360), Vanquish, and Metal Gear Rising.

Still, Devil May Cry 4: SE is pretty solid.  Though, those youtube combo videos are way out my league.

--- Quote ---Patch Overview (Planned):

The currently existing patcher for the Fire Emblem: If Fan Translation will be modified to work with all editions of Fire Emblem: Fates.
Multiple zip files will be released, each one designed to be read by the patcher (eg. Names will be one zip, Amie another zip).

Planned: Simply drag what patch files you want into a predefined folder, and the patcher will automatically rewrite your rom file as needed.

Planned Patch Files:

- Name Restoration: Reverts the localized names to the romanized names from the Japanese edition.
- Amie Restoration: Restore face-rubbing into Fire Emblem: Fates. The blowing functionality may be lost.
- Fan Translation: Replaces Fire Emblem: Fates script with the fan-translation script.
- Japanese VA: Change the game audio to all Japanese files. (This is a hard write, a menu option is impossible to write in.)

Suddenly I'm interested in this game. Break a leg, fans.
