How's Freedom Wars treating you? I thought about getting it, but I passed because I thought the demo played a bit clunky. Then I heard some reviews online saying that the NPC allies tend to get beat up a lot, and it reminded me of God Eater before Burst came out.

If the same thing'll happen here, then maybe they'll make an upgraded version after Rage Burst hits... is one thing I'm thinking.

The difficulty is fine until you're about 70% done with the main storyline, then it becomes evident how stupid your AI teammates are and how unfair the game is.  It's find on co-op with friends though.

Heck, the Wii U even came with a sensor bar just to drive the point home. I only have the original Wii Remote from launch year and the Classic Controller I have is the old model, so I can't say I've personally tested this.

Fair point. Given that you own those controllers I'd imagine mine can work with the Wii mode -- as far as I know the Wiimote Plus' only difference to the original is inbuilt MotionPlus, and the Classic Pro's design is only derivative from the previous iteration.

Pretty much what SakuraMaxX said below.  The late-game difficulty spike is dumb, so to combat it, people do missions in multi-player mode.  Also, it's sometimes impossible to avoid getting one-shotted, so playing revival tag is a necessity.

I'm new to this genre, so everything is new and interesting for me.  Being able to swing around like Spiderman, latching onto a giant robot and sawing off its parts, etc.  More experienced players have pointed out shortages in content and enemy types, and how grinding to make a decent weapon is a pain in the ass (I agree).  Personally, I think it's a good game to pick up and play when you need a quick fix for shooting and hacking.  I'm unsure as to how long the online community will stay healthy.

I normally don't wait for the enhanced version of a game to come out... otherwise I'd forget and not buy it.

... Yup, that's God Eater before God Eater Burst. I'm not going through that again.

I just picked up Burst on a whim because it was 8 bucks, but I wouldn't have bought it otherwise, since I knew what the original played like. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised - it's not often that a series saves itself in my eyes.

And there's one-shot insta-kills in this game? That's pretty lame. Insta-kills are very close to a cardinal sin to me. It's one of my pet peeves.
