Setsuna:
Well, as part of my unpacking process (I moved in January, which probably goes to show I REALLY need to unpack faster) I've been slowly been bringing devices I've stockpiled over the years back online.

So I've been sitting down and playing things, while I wait around for other things to happen. (And money to fall from the sky, although that one's never going to happen.)

I'm pretty sure that I've got some sort of pattern here though.

PS2: Finally got that dusted off, and for some reason I've been finding myself playing Ring of Red. Terrible translations aside, I'm not sure what it is about the game that makes it so much fun. Maybe it's a military thing.

PSP: I've dug up the 2 PSPs and a PSP go I've kept around.

Now why would I do that? Mostly because the PSP Go is the only device that allows you to output to a screen natively while tethering it to a PS3 controller.

Unfortunately, to get the UMD games I own to play on the Go, I have to CFW the thing so I can copy my UMDs then load them up, but eh, Sony signed me a release allowing me to do that (as part of my work for the Classifications board) so I can sleep easy.

So what do I end up loading up?

Valkryia Chronicles 2 (I oddly enough own the JP AND the US versions, so I can actually manually make my own undub, although that process was bloody painful) and...
Valkryia Chronicles 3 (Own the JP E2, so I dumped that, and I found out that a fantranslated patch exists, and after some monkeying around, I got that working too)

... Am I just addicted to war games or something?

I was also wondering if anyone else would be interested in watching and otherwise providing advice? I tend to find I play better (or harder) when I stream and there's a bit of an audience. I guess old habits die hard...

Interesting selection. I'm especially intrigued by Ring of Red, being that the historical concept and tactical turn-based combat are strong suits to my liking, a fondness started by Vandal Hearts. This game seems evidently praised, so there's also that. The only thing is whether or not I can make time to actually watch a stream throughout. Oh, such complications~.

Say... more onto the PS2, have you gotten around to play Shadow of the Colossus? If not, then I deem it one hell of a gem; first and foremost, the concept and art direction is beautiful. The movement and climbing mechanics are also unwieldy, but far more realistic than any game I've played thus far -- it's a love and hate thing, yet it makes one feel human.

JNiles:
Finished Black Rock Shooter, stalled out on the 2nd playthrough.

Finished Zelda: Link Between Worlds.

Finished Tales of Graces F - had to faq it and drop down to Easy a few times.

Finished Ys I & II Chronicles, with much faqing and cursing.

Still debating what to play next... I need something that won't tire me out too much.

Well, Ring of Red (PAL) has this weird thing with its video output. I can stream it, but they did some REALLY funky stuff with the framerate. I think it likes switching between various framerating, and it confuses my scaling equipment a little bit.

I'm still open to streaming it, but there'll be times where the video will load late and you'd get a blank screen for a little while.

It requires planning, which means of course, I'm going to decimate the game. I don't know if anyone wants to watch me do that.

I've been asked to stream Valkryia Chronicles 3, so I don't know how interested people would be watching and asking questions about that.

As for Shadow of the Colossus, I wanted to pick up the PS3 remaster, although I finished the PS2 initial release (as part of work of course). I also had dinner with the composer at A night in Fantasia 2009 (Which was also the same event Takashi (sorry, spelling error) was at doing a live performance of Torani ni... with the Eminence Symphony Orchestra.

Ah, the joy of years gone past.

Sad thing is, that I normally commit to Atelier titles - I should pick up Atelier Rorona Plus (And Escha and Logy) in English, although I own both of them in Japanese because of expected destructive playthroughs, and I have to arrange for Shallie to be brought in next month... (Just the shipping, since I arranged for the pack to be paid for months ago)

Then there's the purchase of im@s DLC to schedule in. This month AND next month is going to be stupidly expensive, but I know why.

Yeah, I'm going to be spread thin for the next few months. Budgeting is a nice skill, but sometimes you really do wish it started raining money.

I wish my life was exciting....
