I never asked for this.

Anyone picking up Animal Crossing? Been sort of hooked since the first one - curious if anyone here plays too.

I am giving it a shot.  It does not seem like the most engaging sort of game, but I've made purchases outside my comfort zone before and people seem to be happy playing the games.  I hope there are no time-sensitive events... I don't want to have to play it on a particular day of the week.

Bad news: there actually tend to be quite a bit of time sensitive events - it'll follow the 3DS clock for like when shops open and will have events on the calendar (Toy Day(Christmas), New Year`s, April Fools Day, ect.). Certain things may happen on certain days of the week, like people visiting your town as well. The game tries to encourage you to play maybe just 30 minutes or so a day, and everyday.

Some people will time travel, or mess with the clock to allow them to go to whenever they want (and find Carmen Sandiego), so that might be helpful if there`s an event you really want to see on a specific but are too busy to play.
