So like, I finally beat Dragon's Dogma after pumping way too much time in it. The ending is... open-ended. Very open-ended.
The game itself has problems with difficulty (namely, it's too easy to overlevel), and the fact that just about all the people in the game aren't interesting as characters. The world itself is great, the gameplay just amazing, just not the people.
There are a few interesting people, but for the most part this is a game you play because it's so good on a technical level. You can interact with the environment in a believable way (if you think you can climb it, you probably can and so can your enemies), and the environment is subtly detailed to the point that you can miss little things or even entire roads unless you look around. Even the AI is believable - heck, it even knows to climb to get to where it wants to. As far as the plot goes... well, it kinda holds together. Some of it is left way too open in my opinion, there are some interesting concepts that could have been fleshed out better. Others just seemed tacked on.
I hear there's going to be a sequel, I think I'll get that when it comes out, and I have an idea who I'd make my next pawn if I'm allowed. For this game though, I did my best to make my pawn in the image of Luka Megurine. I guess I was somewhat successful?

Yeah, you can take screenshots with the PS3 version of the game. It's still a bit awkward, and the resolution is surprisingly... not very high.
