It's supposed to play really close to Namco x Capcom, if you've played/seen it at all. I really want Project X Zone for the Sakura Taisen (And Valkyria Chronicles) characters alone. XD
Oh great. I remember that game taking a bit of time for no other reason than I had to combo/guard a billion things every combo. I only played a stage at a friends' place though - maybe you get used to it?
In other news, I've been messing around in P4U, and waiting for my expenses to settle down so I can order the entire rest of the series sometime. It's a pretty cool game, though this is coming from a relatively unskilled player, and playing against a friend, I actually feel like I'm putting some strategy in the game already rather than dash up, do combo and fail, repeat. Of course, it's not much strategy, but hey.
Auto-combo, whatever people might think of it, makes for some stressless finishes. The Rock and Roll motif in the game is also great - super finishes are more stylish in this game than any other.
Currently looking into Yuu, Akihiko, and Labrys. Noob first impressions:
Yuu has a command overhead and a command low, both of which travel. As if I didn't like that enough, they can end combos too. He can also do a little double teaming with Izanagi, though that fireball needs to be better.
Akihiko has chains everywhere to a low, a dodge, a throw, a combo ender, a reversal DP, a command parry, and an overhead. I find that completely and totally awesome - he actually has a lot of the tools I like seeing in characters I pick.
Labrys has great hitboxes, good range, and mixups as well. I feel like I want to play her pretty carefully until I can get something in, then just go wild. She's also got an accent. And color scheme 2.
