I was wondering, does anyone know if hyper dimension neptunia mk2 is any good? I was thinking of getting it.

It is a slog.  It has the various elements you expect to find in games, but all of them fall a little short of normal expectations.  The series sells on the strength of its character art, which is probably its best feature, and its insider jokes, which are lame.

I got to chapter 4 and then put it on hold in favor of the many, many games that have come out since its release (March?).  I won't go back to the game until I finish every single game that I like better.  It will be a long list.

I did a review of the Japanese version my friend bought, it's pretty short, only around 20 hours. It expects you to play through a bunch of times to get the real experience, which is a common sign of a bad developer attempting to string out what little content they have. Gust is the same with the Atelier series.

We could probably zero in on something if we knew what you liked and disliked.

I've been playing Harvest Moon Animal Parade. It's probably the best in the series!

^ I should play that game myself. I was hesitant when I learned that time went slower compared to other HM games, but I ended up loving it a lot more than I thought I would lol I was going for Luke, but I stopped playing.

Yeah, the game's slow. If you play for a few hours (like me in summer), then the most days you could get in is about 10 - 20 full in days (lol) . Oh, and I'm going for Gill. For some reason, I like boys like him XD

Replaying the Dragon Age series.

I don't know why so many people complained about Dragon Age 2 - the characters were just as fantastic and the dialogue was witty and hilarious, plus they fixed the clunky and uninspired combat system into something a lot more fun to watch. The repeated environs was annoying, I guess, but it doesn't compare to the ridiculousness of the single grey corridor of the Mass Effect series, and nobody seemed to complain about that. At least Dragon Age 2 had a variety of repeated environs that weren't identical, and they were all noticably different.

Finished Muv-Luv Alternative, finally. Oh god, that ending...so bittersweet. And then the epilogue makes me say "what." Also finished Bastion. Nice game, especially on how the narrative went with your actions.

As of right now? Been getting into Hearts of Iron III again, making Germany strong by making Hitler competent, giving the Kriegsmarine an actual navy, and working on blitzkrieg tactics.

Replaying the Dragon Age series.

Dragon Age 2 was okay. I think the reason why people were complaining was that it wasn't as open as the Dragon Age in terms of the start, and that the story faltered as a whole, but whatever.

Also, Dragon Age 2 was the first game where I picked the middle option for everything.

Getting back into Battlefield 3 at the moment.
Forza is on a hold for a while, since my gold ran out a few days ago and I have no cash. Shame, too, because the new car pack has the Scion FR-S.

Oh man the August car pack is gonna be the 3rd pack I buy, Porsche and May being the others.  I'm pretty excited about the FR-S and the 2013 Genesis Coupe.
