Finally started 7th Dragon 2020. Running a more standard team of Samurai, Psychic, and Trickster.

... Also, I am voiced by Tomokazu Sugita, though I feel that if Shinichiro Miki had his lines, I'd've been voiced by him instead. Yuichi Nakamura was also in the running.
Cael's Im@s Ranking: Azusa, Yumeko, Tomomi, Haruka

Platinum #14 - Hyperdimension Neptunia MkII

That game was so much better than the first game, but I still found 1 more enjoyable for the events alone.
Either way, I had fun.  ;D

Brought The World Ends With You and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey on my trip and didn't regret it.  I'm struggling to get some of the pins to evolve, though.  I hate it when I max out a pin without evolving it- a reset button would be nice.

I agree right there. Gameplay wise it was certain an improvement over the first Hyperdimension Neptunia. Though I never played the first game, only watched gameplay footage of it. Plus I personally enjoyed this game more than Final Fantasy Xlll-2 personally.

Anyway, i'm attempting to beat Yakuza Dead Souls on Dead Souls Difficulty. It's not really that difficult but it is really annoying especially when you are getting swarmed by 20-50 zombies at once.

well, pins evolve depending on type of points you level them with, and a lot of pins can't evolve at all. you get blue ones for battles, green ones for not playing and red ones for "mingling". the dominant kind of points when the bar is full decides the type of evolution. if the pin doesn't have an evolution for that type it will stay as it is.

You can find a chart to see if and with what kind of PP a pin can evolve in this chart: http://twewy.wikia.com/wiki/Pin_Evolution

Btw: The different types of PP have a different weight. I think battle is 1, shut down is 3 and mingle is 15 (don't quote me on the numbers). What it means is the following: assume a pin needs 15 PP to evolve and you get 14 battle PP and 1 mingle PP. The pin will have a total of 15 PP and thus enough to evolve. But to determine which kind of evolution you get, you need to multiply the PP with their weight and then take the type with the highest number. in this case it's 14 for battle and 15 for mingle, thus the pin will evolve as mingle even though you got much more battle PP. if you look at the PP bar of this pin, you'll see that the red part is slightly larger than the blue part.

i hope this made some sense :p

Btw once you finished the game, you can jump to each day at will and each day has some optional goals to complete. once you have completed all optional goals you can read a secret report and get a lot of insight about what was going on behind the scenes. And i think there is some kind of bonus if you unlock all secret reports, but honestly i'm not sure about that.

Yeah, I caved and looked at a faq, and since I wasn't using mingle mode, I was messing up a lot of pins.  I hate using a faq, but I didn't want to waste any more pins.  The weighting for PP is 9-to-1 for mingle/shutdown mode to battle mode, I read.

Good to hear about the replay mode.  I rushed through some days and didn't use as many food items as I should have.  I was pretty upset when I got to day 7 and got stuck with you-know-who.

Also bought the soundtrack off of ITunes.  It's pretty nifty.

Neptune is, well, horrible. As a general rule of thumb, Idea Factory's games are. Neptune II is far better, but only "so much better" simply based on how awful the previous one was.

Anyway, Graces f. I'm 50 hours in, trying not to miss anything (using a guide). Also Dark Souls PvP as per usual. I'm invading Blighttown at the moment although it's considerably sparse, and too easy, as anyone in the upper half of Blighttown doesn't know the game very well. Probably going back to the forest at this rate.

No disagreements from me. I think that my expectations were so low that I couldn't be disappointed with it in the end.

Anywho, I grabbed the Daifukkatsu Black Label DLC off JP XBL, since it was on sale (400 MSP). Having a blast with it.  ;D

Btw: if you need shutdown PP you can play around with the DS clock, helps a lot when you want to evolve a pin in that direction. as for mingling: you also get some MPP at random, and for another nearby DS. so if you have a second DS (i did the last time i played the game, i played on a 3DS and still have my old DS Lite) you can get some MPP quite easily. and there aren't many pins that require MPP iirc.

so you are not done with the game yet but just past day 7? Once you have finished the game the food limit falls btw. and you can use whatever character you prefer for battles (apart from boss fights, and of course you have to use Neku).

The TWEWY soudtrack is really amazing, by far my favourite soundtrack in any game i'v played.

i once tried god mode in Mushihimesama Futari Black Label and was surpised that i was able to reach stage 2...

Haha, after a few play-throughs, I think I see what you mean. XD

i once tried god mode in Mushihimesama Futari Black Label and was surpised that i was able to reach stage 2...

I had a lot of fun with that mode. I wasn't particularly good, but managed to keep a high score for a bit. Did terrible once I hit stage 3.  :-X

I really hope we get 2's remake here. I intended to import regardless, but after Xenoblade and The Last Story got announced for NA, and Fatal Frame 2 in Europe, I think I have a LITTLE BIT of hope.
Spirit Camera tomorrow, EEEEEEEEEEE~

Haha, after a few play-throughs, I think I see what you mean. XD

i think the point of that quote is, that Mushihimesama Futari (and probably other games as well) asks you that if you select Ultra (1.5) or God (Black Label) mode before the game starts. If you select "no" you'll be moved to normal mode.

I had a lot of fun with that mode. I wasn't particularly good, but managed to keep a high score for a bit. Did terrible once I hit stage 3.  :-X

If you can reach stage 3 with a single credit in god mode, thats already quite good i'd say.

I don't know what it is, but no matter what mode/difficulty I play, I ALWAYS do bad on Stage 3. D:
I think I do considerably better of the stages after.

You're not alone in feeling that way, Stage 3 is pretty rough.  God mode is beyond my skill level right now.  I feel like the only reason I last as long as I do in that mode is through dumb luck.  o_O

Here's my best Normal playthrough though.
