I've been on a Deathsmiles binge myself lately (Well, more like a Cave binge in general, lol). I've been hammering through the achievements of IIX at a nice pace. It's been a lot easier than the first game, that's for sure. I've been stuck at 43 / 70 achievements on the first game, so I'm not expecting to 1CC that one for awhile either, lol.

I've been taking a really unnecessary break from shooters and Tetris: The Grandmaster, so I kinda wanna use this holiday break for getting myself back up to speed.  I think I should try and get better at DaiFukkatsu Black Label first, that one seems to be the most difficult of thew few shooters I have at the moment.

I love being scared by Animal Crossing.
That game needs to be more serious.

A serious Animal Crossing? XDD haha what would that be like? Maybe it works better when you're creeped out because it's NOT supposed to be creepy though ;O lol

LOL, I've never experienced being scared by Animal Crossing, nor have I heard of people being scared by it. >XD
The last time I played that game was a couple years ago, which one do you guys play? Wii or DS?

Trust me - it might be a good thing that you haven't experienced it XD I play all the versions :X (N64, Gamecube, DS, Wii) currently playing GC and Wii versions though :) I'm desperately and not so patiently awaiting the 3DS version ^^

To add to the thread - restarted Final Fantasy XIII - because I'm trying to beat it. XD I still haven't and I preordered the Collector's Edition of XIII-2... I need to get moving!! XD

Now that I think about it, I did 1CC a shmup once. Sure, it was on Easy, but still. I was playing Triggerheart Exelica as Exelica, and I got her True ending (which is to defeat the Stage 1 and 3 extra bosses, then completing the game without continuing.) I love that game so much~

HA, maybe so! Wow, there was an N64 version? I only knew of the GC/DS/Wii versions... And of course the 3DS one which I am contemplating whether or not I should get! It's so addicting I don't know if I want to invest time in it even though farming/griding/wastingmylifebecauseitssofun on games is like one of my favourite things to do. >XO

On the topic of FFXIII I need to beat that game still too because my phat PS3 died on my a couple years ago and I just haven't had the motivation to restart my file on my new PS3... But FFXIII-2 is making me want to. I'm wondering where I should pre-order the game because futureshop/bestbuy/gamestop all have different exclusives... I'm thinking gamestop because they offer the alternate outfit for my lovely Serah. T-T

Ah, Vesperia. Fun game. Just wish the PS3 version actually came to the US, but oh well. At least Graces is coming in. So, is the PS3 version largely similar to the 360 version, just with extra stuff?

N64 version was Japan only :X It's exactly the same graphics as the Gamecube (wow, isn't that weird? :/) but missing some stuff. (like Tortimer) I wiiish they had kept the Japanese parts of the game in Animal Crossing (I much prefer the shrine over the wishing well, and the Cherry Blossom festival had the tatami mats and bento instead. Ad I actually do the same XD but I don't mind it >3> haha xDDD

As for FFXIII-2 I preordered from gamestop myself... I didn't see bestbuy's offer on the website but futureshop is giving a steel book? Is that just a cover for the game? :O I know with Gamestop I'm getting Serah's alternate outfit AND a special weapon for her :)

Ughghgh I want to play Vesperia on ps3 Dx guh. I really do.

Wow, really?! That IS weird! :P But I guess Animal Crossing didn't have the best of graphics to begin with, though the 3DS one definitely took a step up. Oh, gaming, what would we do without you? >XD

Ah, so you did gamestop, I'm already leaning towards them so I'll probably do it soon. For futureshop, the steelbook isn't just a cover, it's the actual case for the game so you'd get a steel case rather than the normal plastic one. As for bestbuy: "Best Buy Exclusive: Collectible Hardcover Book and Final Fantasy XIII "Episode I" novella, an original story that ties together the events of Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2" It sounds interesting which is why I'm having a hard time deciding where to get it. I think if the genji bow from gamestop isn't obtainable in-game I'll go with them for sure.

I want to play Graces F badly because I'm so in love with Pascal. ;P

Played a little Nobunaga's Ambition: Rise to Power in honor of the upcoming Pokemon/Nobunaga's Ambition crossover.  Despite the busted AI and irregular generation of annual maidens, I enjoyed it.

Going to pack some partially-completed PSP games for break.  Current list is something like:
- Fate/Extra
- Persona 2: Innocent Sin
- Idolmaster SP (Missing Moon)
- Blazing Souls Accelate
- Valkyria Chronicles 2 or Persona 3 PSP

So last night at a sleepover, I spent some time with Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. If you wanna improve, then go practice with those better than you. And by practice, I mean try and try to beat them in a match as you keep engaging them in the same match with the same characters over and over again until you do. My journey ended with me having new mains: Ryu, Nemesis and Frank (tentative).

Well, I was lent a PS2 from a friend while he would be away. He has Odin Sphere left here so I'd most likely be playing that. XD

This was out for a while but I haven't had time to post this.
So now I have a new game to spend all of my money on (and you all should too so they bring over Tales of Xillia)

There's a few exclusive skits and the ability to skip cutscenes, plus some exclusive stuff like Flynn joining just before the end of part 1... but nothing ground breaking. I really like the ability to skip cutscenes though, they tend to drag on for ages.

I really doubt Graces will be considered better than Vesperia by most people. I actually stopped playing Xillia--though excellent--due to aliasing issues, NPC pop-ins, hitbox issues, random history lessons, lip syncing, among other things. Still, I think Xillia is really good, although it's been confirmed it's a rushed project. I think I've grown accustomed to Vesperia wherein other RPGs won't top it even if they actually are better.

Also, I bought a bunch of DLC for Vesperia. There's far more in-game costumes with the PS3 version so I won't bother buying any more, one for each character seems enough. Flynn as Chopin, Estelle as Tear, etc.

@Elixir: Ah, okay. I thought as much. Also, I took a look at your website and read that article about competition. Interesting stuff, and I know I've been into that Western mindset.

Anyway, I've been playing a LOT more Modern Warfare 3...and I'm starting to enjoy it again. It's probably due to the fact that I'm starting to use other weapons and tactics besides get an assault rifle and go had-to-head against other people.

I might try replaying Assault Horizon's multiplayer again. And then there's Arkham City to play and Rune Factory Oceans to finish.
