I chose Elaine, but by the end of the first generation she was the only one with full affection.
And I'm so sad that Ladius in 2nd gen. has fists for weapons... And you can't change it, I TRIED.

Ah, that's simply due to the fact that you chose Elaine at Max Affection. If she was exactly one stage below Max, which is 'Like', I believe he would've gotten Spears instead, though his stats take a hit.
For Fyuria, Love is all manner of Swords, Like is Guns.
Luana, Like is Scythe, and Love are the Breakers.
This along with statistics will also apply to future generations, but it ALSO depends on the previous wives as well.

Dang, if it's like that then I'm going to put more consideration on what I'm going to do with the 2nd generation, which I am currently playing right now.

Mm, though depending on how you want to go about it, basically the next gen's 'protagonist' have most of the stats influenced from the mother, while still having some influences from previous generations. By the time you get to the last generation of the game (which is the fifth) there are about 84 or so potential statistic combinations for Rex to turn out to be.
I am curious as to which of the Gen 2's candidates have interested you.
