Full banner would look nice and allow for more room but whoever designs one would have to consider the transparency / text on the right. If any text / complex images on the banner were placed on the right it'd look like a disaster.
Second opinion on what I think Scotty means is probably a banner where text isn't just slapped on top of an image. Kinda like if you were to find an image and put it through blingee, nothing like that. The banner that's up right now I made in Illustrator and there's probably a lot more thought that went into it then what you see. For instance the arrangement of the idols are done so as to not favor any one of them, but simply highlight each. Could have arranged them in ABC/PSP order/etc. but they're not. Circles didn't pan out right, I was originally going to put up 15 circles, each colored to represent an idol (yellow for wandering star ones, brown for 961, etc.) with their name stamped on the circle. Final product just ended up using the circles to link the images to each other rather than making it look like a solid brick of copypasta images.
So basically something that looks like we're not just stealing images off the web and posting them up there. They're edited enough to look like an original piece or something.
