Itashas
« on: August 23, 2009, 08:40:32 pm »
Some guy from the old Project-IM@S forum sent me this pic by email and asked me to send it to Marini, but I'm publically posting this in case there are other Ruko fans too... game is rFactor, though it's been edited with some NEXT-GAN BLOUM for improved appeal to modern/casual viewers/gamers/etc...

Yea, I'm pretty sure Marini is going to love this one. ;)

By the way, I think I might know the guy you mentioned, since he was into this sort of thing.

Ah yes fake bloom and HDR, always good if used correctly.
Indeed it is blurry, but it makes colours more vibrant by messing with the contrast; can be bad since it takes light and dark colours to their extremities.

Almost forgot. Since we're on the topic of itashas, here's the cars that Scotty painted for Forza 2.
The Porsche 911 Carrera RS "Nonowamobile" is an original, and sort of a representative car for the site, while the 765 Impreza and 961 Lancer were based off toy cars posted in the old forum.

I thought this thread was going to be about RL itashas.

Although the only real itasha I've seen so far were two Nanoha cars. Parked in front of the local supermarket.
Strange stuff.

Not quite in this case - the teams fielding these strange cars are actually Japanese and therefore can't be 'weeaboo vehicles'.

Weeaboo vehicles nonetheless, even if it is driven by the Japanese.

Maybe... depending on what sort of itasha was on the car, or what car it was, I'd probably wouldn't mind driving it.

Still drive great, too. I'm pretty adept at driving the Subaru myself... maybe for obvious reasons? ;)
