Yes, yes yes he is. I really think that Chihaya would be very different than the way she is now if Yuu was still alive. Heck, probably it'll create a AU (alternative universe) where Miki is like a Haruka, Haruka is like the Chihaya and Chihaya is like a Miki.. ::) That would be weird...

Well, the AU could probably just have Miki awakened, Haruka in her depressed state, and Chihaya as peppy as at the end of the anime. OR...
She's still as socially awkward as before, with her depression caused by blaming herself for Yuu's injury as opposed to his death. Oh, and Yuu becomes an idol to prove that he's alright and healthy to her, or because he thought Chihaya looked so happy when she sang, or something... Oh, and he and Ryo form a unit. :D No reason for Haruka or Miki to change.
