Actually, they didn't lie, seeing as they never really said that it'd be an all-star.
Anyway, now that it's the end of the MASTERSPECIAL series... It's time for...
Yukipo's super-ultra MS ranking (excluding MS765&MS961)
Starting from last to first.
LAST PLACE:
The worst MS album in my opinion was MS02. Basically because Ritsuko and Ami/Mami's voices didn't mesh all that well. I mean, their REM@STER was all right. But, the L・O・B・M on that album was horrible. They both sounded really whiny and odd. I think that they probably would've been higher up on this list if they were paired differently.
A few positive comments about this album, livE was a very enjoyable song, it was catchy and had a somewhat "dark" theme to it. The song name is also, probably one of the best yet.
In addition, the beginning of "Reimei Starline" was cool sounding, even though I wasn't much in favor of the song itself. The twin's redintation of "Aozora no Namida" was nice to listen to at times, as well.
Moving on...
5th PLACE:
I have to put MS05 in 5th place, sheerly because it didn't "wow" me as much as some of the other albums did... Azusa's "Mythmaker" sounded cool, but the actual singing part sort-of irked me to the point where I didn't want to listen to it. Makoto's "Jitensha" as well, had the same affect on me.
In addition, their "L・O・B・M" was pretty much what I expected it to be, which is not something I, as a fan, would want in a soundtrack.
However, I did enjoy their REM@STER...
4th PLACE
4th place has to go to MS01, I really liked this album when it first came out, and all, but once some of the other albums came out, it made me look back on the first one and notice how "bland" it was in comparison. Haruka and Yayoi, while it is a nice pairing, is very probable, and I would've liked to hear otherwise.
They did, have a nice "L・O・B・M" and REM@STER, and the talk sessions on this CD were some of the best out of the entire series.
3rd PLACE:
3rd place needs to go to, sadly, MS04.
While I really liked this album as well, MS03 and MS06 really surprised me more. The talk sessions on MS04 really annoyed me because Yukiho's voice got a touch too high pitched, thus, she sounded entirely unlike herself.
Their REM@STER was okay, but it wasn't quite that satisfying for someone like me... Who would've liked to hear a bit more from this pairing.
Takane did have the best Original Track out of the entire series, though.
2nd PLACE:
MS06 takes 2nd place.
It only takes 2nd place because Miki's Orignal track bored me to tears.
I really liked it when I heard the preview, but once the full version came out, it was just another "oh... yeah... saw this coming"
Miki sounded like she usually did, this was a song that I would've expected her to sing, and the background music barely changed at all.
Iori's songs were both very nice, I didn't think she could pull off "Rabbit Panic," but she did quite a nice job at it. Rizora was also a very relaxing and sweet song to listen to, as well.
That being sad, Miki and Iori had the best L・O・B・M out of the entire series, the beginning had a sad touch to it, which was nice, indeed. The talk sessions on this CD were also funny.. I never knew Miki was a pervert...
Their REM@STER was also, very funny "chotto, okinasai~!"
Anyway, time for 1st place:
MS03
The reason that MS03 takes 1st place, is because I really sat and listened to this CD over, and over again. Not only did I not expect Hibiki to sound the way she did, Chihaya sounded unexpectedly calm and quiet during "Tooi Ongaku."
I can't explain exactly whyp this MS album takes first place for me, but it's mostly because it suprised and pleased me the most out of all of them.
Voila!
This took about 20 minutes!
