New producer wants to join the fun

Greeting everyone. I'm new to the Idolm@ster series.

Though I am yet to play any Idolm@ster game, I have watched animes and listened to songs.
I have gained an interest in the franchise when I first listened to songs from The Idolm@ster Million Lives in Nico Nico.

Since I'm new to this place, please tell me anything I need to know as a newcomer.

Main thing to know: there are a lot of idols. Especially if you get into CG (Cinderella Girls). I suggest starting small with OG (original cast from 765Pro also called AS as well) or SC (Shiny Colors) since they have the smallest casts. SC is the newest branch to the series. There is also the extended ML branch of the OG's 765Pro franchise. Then the defunct DS (Dearly Stars). If you're into male idols then there's SideM.
