Rin:
I've figured how to revert back to the standard appeal noise, if anyone really doesn't want to use one of the character sounds for whatever reason. It hasn't been mentioned, so I figured I would.

Go to your 765 Pad, then to the options menu and go down the one that has アピール in it(the 6th one down).
Then cycle through how ever many you have until you see デフォルト. That sets it back to the default aka no special appeal noise.

That's still an appeal noise, it's just the default one, i don't want any sound effect at all when pressing one of these buttons. The only way to do that i have found so far is to lower the sound effect volume to 0. Although i set it to 10, since it affects all sound effects in the menu. With 10 they can still be heard, but usually not on stage since the music is too loud there.

Is it possible to set the audio options to 0? I thought it stopped at 1.

I wasn't specific enough, sorry. Edited the post.

Okay I've noticed two more things.

1) In the morning scene, before you go to the office menu screen(where you choose to do lessons and lives and other tasks), you know how sometimes you see a DL live intro scene instead of a normal morning scene?  Well keep on exiting to the title screen from the office menu screen, not by pressing the home button, and keep reloading your file until you finish cycling through all the DL live intros (there should only be 2 right now).  Afterwards, then just reload the game again and then you will get your normal morning scene with the idol.

2) In the office menu screen (where you choose to do lessons and lives and other tasks), if you press R3, it will clear out the menu so you can see clearly what the idols are doing on the screen.  When you're done watching, just simply press R3 again to bring back the menu.
