A quick rundown on how DL Lives work. When you boot up the game when it isn't suspended, the DL tab will appear on the live selection screen. From there, you go through a series of four lives, where EX Clears move you to the final live and the event costume (also behind an EX Clear). The first two lives seem kinda confusing since they require the new Trickster type that they only give you AFTER you EX Clear the second live. Those two lives aren't that hard even with the penalty, though, but just be prepared for the last one. Lesser prepared folk like me need to train to meet that 57k EX Clear.

If so i guess i'll start over. I started on my japanese account yesterday, but mostly did tutorial stuff. When i can skip all the text it will be much faster, so i won't loose too much time.

Actually, if you EX Clear(the only way to progress)the second of the DL lives, you get an outfit that has the type you need. They aren't that cruel.
Though it is only rank C, it makes a huge difference.

Someone on Gamefaqs claims you can still get the costume on a non japanese account.  However, the P-drops cannot be shared.

Everything works with european PSN account. (Didn't work on my first login, but was fine after opening the game with jpn account)

All lives are for trio and require new trickster-type costume (you get it on your second live).

1st live:
normal 14700, no reward
ex 18900, bronze card
2nd live:
normal 17430, no reward
ex 26250, Leopard Ai - trickster type crappy costume (I got 29k with 8lvl edeN full combo on master, lvl 44-54 idols and crappy b-rank equipment (+2k for full combo costume))
3rd live:
normal 26250, silver card
ex 30450, Leopard Ai - trickster type crappy costume (now it's easy to clear with new costume)
4th live:
normal 42000, no reward
ex 57000, Rouge/NoirQ costume

57k with that crappy costume? Seriously? I could barely clear it... Ok, i'm profucer rank 13 now and at last got Kiramekirari (wich is supposed to be the best song, but i have to level it up first), but come on, just how high your girls' level has to be to get so much?

How do you save in this game?  Is it automatic like the other games (when the rainbow circle shows up in the bottom right) or do you have to manually save?

Yes, I'm using my US account. The name in English is 'Leopard Eye'. Seems to be a recolor of the D rank Cool outfit that has +10 Burst, with maybe some slight variations.

To manually save, when you're back at the planning screen, press the options button. The first option is 'save', the second is 'return to title', and the last closes the options menu. The game has an autosave feature according to one of the screens shown a little after startup, but I still manually save to be sure.

Now for some good news for players who just started or still trying to reach higher ranks.

you HAVE to EXClear the DL Lives to progress to the next rank.

You can clear but you won't get anyway other than the clear rewards, it'll stay in the menu marked as Clear.

You can't miss a EXClear reward basicly.
