I haven't watched too much Xenoglossia, but I have heard a bit of the story. Personally, I think it's a series in and of itself (although I much prefer the games/2011 anime...that's how I discovered the series), and I don't really hate XenoChihaya at all though I was kind of surprised to see spike-top Yukiho side with her. I think the main reason people hate her so much is because her personality is a complete 180 from the Chihaya we know from the games. I didn't even know her VA also voiced a character from another anime I watched way back when (Princess Sparkle from Spider Riders) aside from a Lucky Star character (Hiyori).
Personally, I had an idea where XenoChihaya is kind of like an alter-ego of the Chihaya we know from the games kind of like the Hulk is with Bruce Banner. Game Chihaya will pretty much transform into XenoChihaya when enraged, especially when mocked for being flat. Kind of ironic, seeing how Chihaya has the second largest bust among the Xenoglossia girls behind, of all people, Yukiho.

I strongly recommend you to do it! Xenoglossia is a lot better than Evangelion! I just don't understand, why people compare them!

I think Chihaya (in general) is a very serious and purposeful person, it can be either good or bad. In other words, Chihaya-Master loves Imber as much as Chihaya-idol loves singing. What set them apart is their past, even despite the death of Chihaya-idol's brother, she can say: "I had a happy childhood" and Chihaya-Master can't. :(
I think Chihaya-Master is Chihaya-idol's dark side, an example of what can happen if a person found oneself in a wrong place in a wrong time. Things are the same for Yukiho-Master and Makoto-Master.

I like her songs! It is very funny to imagine that Chihaya-Master sings them! :)
By the way, Kaori Shimizu is a great singer! I even made an AMV about Chihaya-Master with her song! (I posted a link in my topic, the AMV is called "Endless journey ~To my friend~")

I did see a silly moment on YouTube at one time. Remember when Haruka met Iori just after she got out of the shower?
I think the main reason people hate on XenoIori is because of no Kugyuu. Sure, Rie-sama is legendary, but hey, Yukari Tamura is a pretty darn good VA and singer in her own right...ever heard the theme from Cube x Cursed x Curious?
Recently, I did see a full episode at Comicon. It was when Haruka met Ami and learned about the incident between Mami and Tempestas. I'll be honest, though, I loved Ami's piano song, especially when Haruka played a recording through her mech (Imber?).
