It's been a long time for me, so forgive me if I can't remember the exact text on the UI, but there is a mode called Office Mode where you can put different outfits on your idol, see her stats, test out dialogue lines, and do auditions.

The audition bit is a little like S4U in that you can pick an outfit and go on stage, but you'll actually have to play the audition first and beat it.

Try Free mode which I found a little more difficult than Story mode without the story auditions.

Something to note is a lot of SP's songs were added to Live For You as well, so this could have been an indirect way of encouraging of buying that DLC instead.

im trying to do a audition in office mode and i picked one and i clicked pick and now im stuck at this screen
btw im playing on ppsspp. so i dont know if auditions in office mode are functional

office mode is no problem in ppsspp
i have been playing all the sp games on ppsspp and all went without troubles

Are you using the translaton patch? Because if you do, than that's the problem. ppsspp won't emulate the english patch without errors. I only played the non-patched original japanese .iso data

You simply need to press the "Pick" option. It seems that you also chose a wrong audition mode. The right mode is the first option! I use the English-patched version and I haven't had any problems.
