=== Other Stuff ===

I've literally only seen the first iDOLM@STER series, so I don't know about Cinderella Girls or <insert other iDOLM@STER series here>. I only know of the 12 original girls, but I'm hoping that will change with time. Fun fact: one of my favorite songs is an iDOLM@STER song, and I didn't even know it was from there when I first heard it (GO MY WAY!)

ChocoCats:
Welcome.

The anime adaption is a decent start, but keep in mind that the writing can be pretty mediocre.

As for the mobile series, other than Starlight Stage to an extent, they're very pay-to-win, quantity over quality so take baby steps when you get into them. I recommended listening to their songs to get a better impression.

Lunacchi:
Getting into a series through songs is a safe bet, I think, since then at least there's something you love for sure. I'll listen to some more! Thanks for the advice! :)

SideM:
Hi, welcome to the forums! ;D

I have to agree with the advice. There were some idols I didn't really care for or even disliked after reading about them on the wiki, but they completely changed my mind when I listened to them sing.

So, what makes Haruka your favorite idol?

mariokirby:
(Yes, I know I say the same thing all the time)

Hello.  We're a small, but friendly forum.

You've watched the 2011 anime, so that's a good start.  It sounds like you don't own a PS3 (I think you should get one).  I was going to say my next recommendation is to start playing the main games with One for All being the newest one on the PS3.  Idolm@ster 2 is also on the PS3 though you can just watch youtube story videos if you don't want to play it.  You can also check youtube videos for other previous games like Idolm@ster 1 as well.

At the same time, check out other im@s stuff such as the music albums, mangas, dramas, movie, OVA, etc if you feel like exploring more.  We also have a wiki here, so check that out to read articles about everything for im@s franchise.
