Favorite Cover Songs by IM@S

I haven't seen a thread like this yet, so why not?  Pretty self-explanatory, post your favorite songs covered by any of the im@s cast including the other agencies as well.  Also what are some songs you would like to hear the girls cover?


I have quite a few and couldn't decide on a top 3 so I just listed them all. XD

Nada Sousou by Hibiki - One of the main reasons that made me fall in love with Hibiki.  I loved listening to this before bed as a sort of lullaby.
Shounen Jidai by Hibiki - Love these oldish type songs.  She's a pretty good hummer. 
Squall by Miki - A beautiful song, covered very beautifully.  Miki sounds so sweet.
Staple Stable by Takane - I love the feeling I get from this song, it eventually led me watch Bakemonogatari which became one of my fav anime of all time.
Ai Ni Tsuite by Chihaya - Is gud.
Ah Yokatta by Ami/Iori - Whenever I listen to this song, I love listening to Ami's version first, then Iori's right after.
Snowdome by Yukiho - Fav song from her latest CD.
Yuriyurarararayuruyuri Daijiken - This is gonna give me diabetes...I love how Chihaya is included in this one, makes it that much more HNNNGGG.  Her face on the CD cover tho.  Ahhh my kokoro! Why you do this to me.


As for songs I would like to hear covered... I could only think of a couple atm.

Modokashii Sekai No Ue De by Yui Makino - One of my first ever fav anime song.  I think Yukiho would suit this one best.
Let Me Be With You by Round Table - Miki / Iori / duet    Edit: Ah, found out this one was already covered by Mingosu and Chiaking way back in an old 2008 album.

Namida No Hurricane by Miki - IIRC it made the song more energetic.
Tsuki No Waltz by Takane - Well, she fits just perfectly for the song.
Hoshi No Kakera Wo Sagashi Ni Ikou Again by Chihaya Takane and Makoto - I really like the idea of having different idols covering one song, each in different style. Not really a fan of Makoto's version, but I love both Chihaya and Takane's.
Whiskey Ga, Osuki Desho by Azusa - fits Azusa, but I love it because of how unexpected the song is when you think about idols/JPop.

Christmas Eve - Haruka: Haruka's voice is very pretty here and I like following the bass track.
TOMORROW - Haruka: It's an upbeat and happy song.
Seinaru Yoru Ni - Miki, Hibiki, Takane: Another very pretty Christmas song.

This is better than I remembered.  I may have to go back and listen to others and see if my opinion has changed over time.

Tip Tap Tips Hibiki ver. - I prefer this one cause of the cool rock style over Miki's and Haruka's ver.

Thanks for sharing!  I actually missed all of those lol.  I really liked Haruka's TOMORROW.  Like you mentioned, it's so bright and cheery!  Think I found a new Haruka song to listen to. XD

Kiss Me Goodbye by Azusa - Nobuo Uematsu.  Nuff said... Nah, but Azusa's sweet voice sounds really nice in this one and is a nice contrast to Angela's much deeper vocals.  Though I think I do prefer Azusa's for the Japanese ver. actually.(Sorry, cover no longer exists on youtube apparently, so no link :/)

Well, I'm a bit heartbroken right now that a lot of the im@s youtube vids and uploaders that helped me get more into the franchise when I was first starting out have been taken down, but what can ya do.

Suteki Da Ne from FFX - Hibiki immediately came to mind for this one.  I'm positive she has everything it takes to pull it off.
Melodies of Life from FFIX - Hmmm.  Chihaya.  Prolly.  Yeah.  YA!
Eyes On Me from FFVIII - Azusa.  I wonder how good Chiaking's english is. XD

Alright. The covers we have and I liked...

Haruka - Sore ga Ai Deshou
Chihaya - I'm between 'Chiisaki Mono' and 'Tori no Uta'
Miki - I'm between 'Namida no Hariken' and 'Catch you Catch me'
Makoto - I'm between 'Kamen Butoukai' and 'Seikan Hikou'.
Yukiho - I'm between 'Tsugaru Kaikyou Fuyugeshiki' and 'Natsukage'. Though I tend more for Natsukage. Really, her voice kinda makes me feel sleepy (In a good sense. Since it's like an angel voice). Of course, if we're speaking of Yukiho, the character. If we're talking of Yurina's Yukiho (first vision Yukiho), then it's Natsukage. But if it's Azumi's Yukiho, then I'll go with Koi.
Futami - Since Ami and Mami share the same voice, I choose Wonder Winter Yatta.
Azusa - Reflectia
Yayoi -  Rirurariruha
Iori - Though I'm no much fan of her... Do you Remember me.
Ritsuko - Resolution
Hibiki - Believe
Takane - Gentle Hands (Japanese ver.)

Chihaya - Hekira no Sora e Izanaedo, KOTOKO. Yeah, I know Asami Imai shined a little in BlazBlue, but I kinda like to listen her singing it. Though Chihaya it's not a fan of rock.
Miki - Freesia, Yu Mizuki. (Megaman Zero 4 ending)
Makoto - Change the World, V6. Or Parade, Chaba.
Yukiho - Come, Namie Amuro.

It's such a powerful performance of vocals and Hiromi nailed it perfectly. Just listen to the vocal prowess at the end. If only I could get the vocals from Hiromi and lay it over DCT's instrumental track, it would be a pure bliss for the ears.
Also, I'm not sure how old many of you are, but this song also reminded me a lot of Prince's Purple Rain from the 80s. From the mood and climax to the vocal wooing at the end. Brilliant song in its own right.

My fav cover is Senbonzakura by Azusa Miura, from master artist 3 11. Yep, Chiaking take over a project diva/vocaloid song, an sexiest im@s seiyuu ever so far (also 1 of my fav seiyuu) I'm bow for you, King!

This would have been a great image/personal song for her tho, imo.

I can't shake off this feeling that the "old Yukiho" would have been one of my top faves(if not my number one) off the bat if I was fan back in the day.  For this, I'm sorta grateful I got into im@s after the switch and experienced the new one first; avoided a big potential heartbreak.(although, I ended up liking Yurina's first in the end anyways lol)
