i have to say i found the artwork to be fairly well drawn. I've actually taken some pages that have good character shots and just edited out the rest of the page. id post one now but Yukiho buried my computer when i tried to stop her from burring herself (im not on my home computer right now)

Like a bird in the sky I believe i can fly

The mangaka also likes to render the more ecchi-harem pages, while paying no attention to the story or stage performances during the manga. I can't tell whether they are intent on making a statement like "Im@s is more commonly known for its harem!" or not.

It's his style.
Like how everything by Tsutomu Nihei has enemies that looks like... enemies from his previous works.

i have to say i found the artwork to be fairly well drawn.

read jojo's bizzare adventure and then tell me about fairly well drawn.

the author doesnt exactly have a good art style imo, makes the character faces look completely flat in all angles or like a dogs face on the portrait angle.
and even for bishoujo art, i'd rather prefer something more negima (with the awesome backgrounds that is)

I think its the shading, pretty non-existent which is probably the reason why its flat. Anyway everyone looks the same to me too, now that i looked at it. As if every single person had the same facial features/cheek bone structures.

Negima and Break are pretty different when it comes to certain facial features too. In Negima i can see the insides of the mouths, and in Break its as if the entire insides of their mouths are white. But once again i guess its because they omitted a lot of the shading.

Hello! I’m happy to announce that I received my package from Japan yesterday. I wanted to tell you right away but was busy scanning the covers of the manga I got.
Anyways, I’m very glad that this time I didn’t have problems with the customs office and the packaged was delivered without any delays.
It looks this way –

And if you’re interested in other items that I got, here’s the link
http://nikorai1.narod.ru/m1.html

I’m going to start reading it soon.
Meanwhile I was reading im@s master book, the communication guide. It all looks very interesting but I have to admit that I donno like half (or a bit less) of the kanji there. That means I need to work harder on my Japanese.

Thanks for the link saying the manga was no. 1 in Japan. I guess you don’t know when the trash can be more successful than some creative work.
But well, as I said the design looks rather acceptable and there were some laughable moments in the first volume so I’ll continue reading it.

the manga is trash
it sold a lot because people only wanted it for the extra CD. if was even considered that the CD wasnt the extra anymore, the manga was the extra content.

It reminds me of Yayoi saying
ストラップ、買ってくださーい!CDもセットになってまーす!
(please, buy a phone strap. CD is coming along)

Only it this case it becomes
CDを買ってくださーい!漫画もセットになってまーす!

Didn't volume 1 (limited edition) become top seller of the week as well?
Since, you know, DLC cards...

It's either the problem with my English or Japanese.
But I actually understand what she meant.

If you're fond of literal translations then she says 'cd is making a set'.

ps. If you feel I sound awkward and want to correct me, do it in a different manner, will you?

it was in the top 3, i think bleach sold more. I'm not surprised if it was the top seller, I bought vol. 1 just to try it out.

You look like a strict teacher.
とろこで、この場合に「highschool」ということはどういう意味ですか。それは高校ですか、それとも大学ですか? もしかしたら、あなたは博士?。アメリカのhighschool なら、「高校」の意味があると思います。

I did mix up the phrases ‘come along with (smb)’ and ‘come with (something)’. Those things sort of look alike to me. In this case it’s not even the problem of Japanese. I did study English thoroughly at the uni (graduated with distinction) but I guess we all can make mistakes at some points, so you’ll have excuse me this time.
Also, I’m sorry that this talk moves us off topic. The main idea was that the bonus CD turned out to be better than the manga itself and I remembered a quote that somehow fits in this context.

OK, I finished reading the 2nd volume. For me it was quite OK. And honestly I didn’t expect a continuation. But it looks like it’s only the beginning. The first volume was funnier and the second volume is more story-oriented.
Beside im@s break I also received 4 volumes of “Marirowa” and 3 volumes of Tsubasa, so I’ll turn to reading them next.
