THE iDOLM@STER BREAK!

Nobody likes Fujima Takuya, we all know his "best-selling works" only sell because they're spin-offs based on well-known series and because of the limited edition extras.
Flat art, generic copypasta faces, messy storylines with characters with mangled personalities and settings, awful panel lay-out, inconsistent pacing and generic predictable usage of needless fan-service at random moments don't exactly make his works attractive in my opinion.

I like everything iM@S, but only two eluded my brain: Xenoglossia and Break!
Former because it's spin-off mecha and messy story, latter because it's spin-off harem and Fujima Takuya
The last time I heard of "Fujima Takuya", "Negima!?" ruined "Negima!" 's fans' mood, and that was the time when I'm a Negima! fan
Hell, my friend offered me the chance to help me translate Break! to English (the whole vol 01) but despite everything, I resisted; the prospect of harem is too uninteresting for me, since I know what iM@S is about from the beginning
Still, might be a good read for others. I dropped it after second chapter though

You know, as infamous as he is, I wonder why they even had Fujima Takuya make an iM@S manga...
reading it off of the mangafox link isn't really catching my attention particularly...and, well, I think that having the main character live with all the idols is a storyline hook in itself. Maybe I think weird but if I was a male producer, I don't think I'd like the idea of some other guy living with all of my idols XDD
Raestloz:
Since iM@S is all about girls, harem-based (and hentai-based) doujin will appear eventually, it's just that I never expected a doujin to become an official merchandise, as spin-off as it can be, an official is an official
To tell you the truth, as far as I can remember, the storyline is generic and bland. Nothing interesting that makes you as someone who has never heard of iM@S want to know "What next?"
I mean, look, I know there really is no new ideas you can use in Japan. Every idea has been used at least once, only variations of it.
But reading this reminds me a lot of Love Hina. Live alone with everyone, in a dorm, main hero inherited something from his grandpa, then everyone will begin to like him, and so on. Now, Love Hina got some interesting stuff but... well...
This doesn't do the original game justice is what I'm saying.
I think I shouldn't bash others' works like this, so I'm outta here
Clear Blue:
Oh finally Chap. 3 is out! I've been wanting to read the rest of it for a long time.
Sev:
Say what you will about this manga but its one of the few pieces of iM@S merchandise that a broke American like myself with zero understanding of the Japanese language can enjoy and understand so despite its many flaws I'm glad I can continue to read it.
