Translated Call Guides
« on: August 12, 2015, 01:22:09 am »
Would anyone be interested in a gathering of translated calls for the songs?

Currently there's this site but there's more songs which don't have the calls translated to read in English.

Omg, thx so much for this!  Been learning mostly from watching the lives, but this will make a nice reference!

There's also this tutorial vid uploaded by someone from HPT where he also explains the basics in more detail and you can also put them into practice.  It's a great start for those just getting into it.

i take it with "translated in english" you mean written down in romaji?

I think it would be helpful for some.

But to me personally, there isn't much of a point. I got a call guide at 10th, but to be honest it was useless during the live itself. Not because it was written in Japanese, but because you don't have time to look at a call guide during a song. So i just tried to mimic what others were doing and over the ours i started to get a feeling for it.

So imo the call guides are good to learn in advance, so you know the calls without an aid by the time the live comes. But even then, it's probably easier to learn the calls with a video first, and then trying to do it yourself and use a call guide to help you remember at first before dropping the guide completely.

But thanks for the link Nayre, i'll need to watch this carefully. It seems to explain the general patterns i started to get a feeling for.

This is useful. :)

I plan on going to 3rd so I'll have to study up. However, they'll probably have all the new songs in that live.
