R.I.P. Satoru Iwata (1959-2015)

I didn't believe it myself when I first saw it either.

Damn, it wasn't a joke.

As a Nintendo and Kirby fan, this makes me very sad.

He contributed a lot to several games including the Kirby series, Mario, Zelda, etc.  I remember seeing his name at the credits whenever I beated the Kirby games several times.  Even the early ones when I was a kid.  I wish I could have met him in real life just to thank him for his hard work and for giving me good childhood memories.

He also deserves credit as he was part of the successes of the Wii and DS. 

When the Wii U wasn't selling, he cut his paycheck in half as a response to help support his staff get through the trouble times. 

If he lived to see the NX, I'm sure he would be happy that it will probably help boost Nintendo's status.

Here's a qoute from him during a game conference some time ago.

"On my business card, I am a corporate president. In my mind, I am a game developer. But in my heart, I am a gamer."
