Exactly What It Says on the Tin.

So I mentioned this in General Thoughts, and at least one person showed a smidgeon of interest. Even if it's just for that one person's sake, I will now be using this thread to post my really bad fanfiction audiobooks.

For the purpose of this first episode, I wrote up a script because sometimes I screw up my words or talk too fast or mutter so much you can't understand what I'm saying. If you guys think doing so is unnecessary or you have a different format in mind to make it easier for me to do while still helping you understand what's going on, let me know!

Since I've only finished the script for the first episode (and it literally took me all day), I'll post Episode One for now and let you guys leave thoughts of this mess.

A bit of extra background information to help some of these jokes make sense:
The character Manky was originally one of Heather's three brothers. However, he was replaced very soon after these were finished being written by Notar, who's a total nerd and the love interest of Makoto. :U

Appaele is totally obsessed with Rolf and fluctuates between being a rabid fangirl and being a total tsundere. She brings it up once or twice here.
Pretty sure everything else is explained there.

Except maybe Kaiden being the son of Melissa and Aiden, both of which are now officially dead in canon but I love them so much I keep bringing them back to life.

Regarding the script:
I copy-pasted the story itself into everyone's dialogue. If something looks oddly written or is spelled strangely, it's because I was ten and I only fixed stuff if the character themselves fixed it.
All characters are voiced by me except Kelly, who is my sister Kelly and is not a character at all.

I actually managed to finish the script for the second book. It went smoother this time since the second part is significantly shorter and I didn't have to introduce everyone or try to figure out how to pronounce names.

"But in real life, I want to kill you~".--Lust is a member of the Seven Deadly Sins. They're the main group of Shadows trying to kill everyone.
"BLUE LOOKED BEAUTIFUL." "I know~".--I'm referencing the prologue song of Into the Woods. Cinderella sings to her step-sister, "You look beautiful!" The step-sister replies, "I know."
Braeden--Take the most stereotypical delinquent you can think of and give him a backwoods accent. That's this guy. Changed a couple of words to reflect his speech patterns.
Aoi/Rolf/Appaele--The biggest love triangle in the franchise. As mentioned last time, Lei is TOTALLY OBSESSED with Rolf, who hates everyone and is a jerky emo. Aoi is also crushing on the guy, but she's slightly more subtle and sarcastic about it and actually kinda hates him at the same time.
Nin--Oh yeah he's here. :U He's one of the guys voicing himself, but he doesn't actually show up until Episode Four SPOILER ALERT~

I legit don't even care if I'm doing all this work for nothing I love these things and I hope they make you guys laugh as much as they made me laugh. Because as you can hear, I laughed at this A LOT.

I finished the first book! Here are some thoughts I had while listening:

* Before today (actually, yesterday) I had never heard of Neopets. So everyone in the story that the characters are reading is a Neopet, not a human?
* Some of your voices (notably Jezebel, Melissa and Appaele) sound completely different from your normal speaking voice, and I think that's a great talent!
* Did you rehearse before you made the recording? You didn't make many mistakes. 8)
* Could you provide a list of characters and roles with a short description of each? Also, maybe you should write the roles that the characters are playing (for the characters whose roles are not their own name) next to their lines too, to make it a little easier to follow.
* Overall, I was expecting the story to be a lot darker and bleak (because of people getting possessed by the Shadows), but I'm glad that it's pleasant instead.
* This last thought is just a trifle, but I think the recording would sound better if you used a pop filter. Something to prevent fast moving air from buffeting the microphone. Yes, I'm a tech nerd ^^;

Not exactly the same stuff to your concept, and by referring this you may need to reset your plot, but you can take a look on their roles. I do think sniper fits Chihaya perfectly ;)

Correct. Back when this roleplay started, everyone was a Neopet. In fact, they stayed that way up through 2014. XD My friend Amy and I finally realized we were practically adults now and everything happening to these poor saps really made them seem too human so now they're all humans. So the characters reading are human, the ones in the story are all Neopets. It makes everything really awkward, but oh well. :U

I stumbled over my words a lot in book two and kept saying the wrong words and like asdfghjkl but thank you XD

Haha trust me we have enough darkness and evil and death and terrible stuff happening back in the current time roleplay to satisfy the most hardcore of action fans
A big part of this is A) I planned on submitting this to "The Neopian Times", which is like an online newspaper run by the people at Neopets. They're REALLY strict about content, and anything even RESEMBLING romance or intense fighting often gets you in trouble. That's why my friend and I do this over Gmail now.
So yeah, the dark parts couldn't actually happen XD

...That's a fantastic idea, and it'd make everything sound a lot better.
...Too bad I already recorded all of these using my iPad hahaha. *shot*

There actually aren't any iM@S girls in this one (I didn't steal Makoto what are you talking about hahaha *shifty eyes*), but I am thinking that after Batch 2 (the Bakugan fanfictions that are even worse), I might do an iM@S one. It'll probably be really long, and I think I'll turn it into shorter parts myself, but I'll try to find one that I think would amuse people.

Whee I promised this so here it is. A quick description of each character, along with a reminder of what role they play. IN ORDER OF APPEARANCE~

I get carried away when I talk about these guys so there are probably a lot of irrelevant details. ...I'm sorry.

Melissa: Young mother of Kaiden and Braeden, and Aiden's wife (until he died lol). Melissa often plays the Straight Man to her troll husband and equally troll sons, but after Aiden's death, a piece of her sort of adapted to his personality so she could feel like he was still with her, and she became almost as much of a troll. She's still relatively complacent, easygoing, and logical, but sometimes becomes very teasing and eggs everybody on. Melissa is a Shadow, but chooses not to use her powers.
In the fanfiction, she plays Clarocielo.

Aiden: Melissa's first husband and Kaiden's father. He died before the whole thing ever even STARTED when Kaiden was five years old. Ironically, Kaiden STILL grew up to be pretty much exactly like him. Aiden's probably the biggest troll you could ever meet and a proud Shadow. He loves seeing people get angry (especially his wife) and is always saying things that are either really perverted or really obnoxious just to get her to yell at him. Still, he's very protective and loving of his family, which is what got him killed in the first place. I love him so much that I keep bringing him back to life even though he's been dead for sixteen years in canon BUT WHATEVER I'M MAGICAL~.
In the fanfiction, he plays Cerus and Leo.

Kaiden: Melissa and Aiden's son, twenty-one years old, who grew up to be practically EXACTLY like his father. Kaiden's just as big of a troll, though also slightly more of a gentleman, which he picked up from Melissa. He's totally obsessed with Aoi and grew up with her, even though she just sees him as an obnoxious big brother. Kaiden can be rather flirtatious and perverted sometimes, and is also one of the biggest sadists in the series. After his father's death, he became determined to destroy every Veros ever because they're the ones that killed him. Ironically, he fell in love with a Veros and now travels with the Veros to help them save the world because he can't bring himself to hurt Aoi's friends. So much for revenge, buddy.
In the fanfiction, he plays Zopheus, Xigban, and Ned.

Makoto: I totally didn't steal her from iDOLM@STER hahaha
...Yeah, I stole her.
At first, I tried to get canon characters involved in this, but then I realized I was breaching copyrights and honestly by that time I had gotten her so far out-of-character that she's like literally my own character by now.
So, like her canon counterpart, Makoto's a bit of a tomboy. She's a lot more boy-crazy and ditsy than Canon Makoto, though. Also I gave her a new last name so COPYRIGHTS ARE SAFE~.

In all seriousness, this Makoto is childhood friends with Nin and Aoi. Also Uso. She inherited Ironia's powers of defense after Ironia's soul was sealed in her body. ...It makes sense in context.
In the fanfiction, she plays Sorren.

Envy: A member of the Seven Deadly Sins, elite Shadows that essentially rule the other Shadows while the Shadow Lord is sealed up, along with Lust (and Gluttony, Pride, Sloth, and Greed. Wrath is actually a good guy now.) While extremely strong and actually very competent, Envy completely lacks common sense and thus comes across was ditsy and pretty stupid. He gets along surprisingly well with some of the Veros, even if Nin and Rolf totally despise him because they despise all the Shadows. Envy has the power of shape-shifting, and as part of that, he can alter his voice perfectly to match anyone he needs to disguise himself as.
I seriously had no idea FullMetal Alchemist Envy was a thing when this guy came into existence I promise.
In the fanfiction, he plays Magwitche, Prince....and Fluffy. :U

Marsha: Aiden's murderer. HAHAHA.
But seriously she really did kill the guy
A member of the First Veros with Eliza and Ironia (and five others who aren't here), Marsha was the original water Veros. She's a party girl, and in her youth (heck, even in her old age because these guys are technically like 7,000 years old), she could often be found drinking or smoking or chilling with a bunch of dudes. VERY sarcastic and actually very foul-mouthed, but I don't curse out loud so she can't either hahaha.
Marsha is fiercely dedicated to the Veros, but ironically only feels any sort of kinship to the First Veros. Because of that, she can get sadistic when faced with a Shadow, and doesn't care who she needs to kill to achieve her goals. I guess you could call her Chaotic Good? She's practically Chaotic Evil.
In the fanfiction, she plays Margueriita.

Ironia: A member of the First Veros with Marsha and Eliza. She's the only one of the group that was actually killed in the big war. Ironically, her powers are defense. Gosh, there's a lot of irony in this.
When she died, Eliza, the psychic of the group, trapped her soul and sealed it in Makoto's body--who, at the time, had no powers but really wanted some.
Ironia is upbeat and easygoing, and is rather laidback in comparison to how crazy everyone else is.
In the fanfiction, she plays Heather and Tzigana (tiz-ih-GAH-nuh).

Brenda: A completely normal daughter of a Catholic priest. Brenda is rather religious, and only gets wrapped up in the group when murders take place in her town and one of the characters, Leo, goes to investigate. She's extremely shy and kind of socially awkward, hence all her squeaking. Brenda's a good-natured girl, though. She has yet to actually join the big group.
In the fanfiction, she plays Rockin and Sparkle.

Blaze: Appaele's childhood best friend, a bit of a moron, and Disco's brother. Also Sparkle's brother but she practically fizzled out of existence so she's irrelevant. Blaze was one of the first Shadows created for the series. While stupid, he can pull through when provoked and proves strong when really challenged. He loyally serves the Shadow Lord despite being a product of possession HIMSELF.
In the fanfiction, he plays himself and Manky.

Lust: A member of the Seven Deadly Sins with Envy (and the rest but they're irrelevant). A Card-Carrying Villain if there's ever been one Lust loves being a Shadow and is among the smartest of the Seven (along with Greed, the Mad Scientist of the group). She often complains about being surrounded by morons, and enjoys flaunting her body because she's Lust and it's literally what she does. She holds personal grudges against Appaele, Makoto, Aoi, and Wrath, the latter of whom is her love interest who she hates because he betrayed the group and left her.
In the fanfiction, she plays Blue and narrates.

Jezebel: A member of Melissa's island of evil and, quite literally, "friends with benefits" with Braeden. She only briefly met the group, but had known Braeden for years. She was part of the group that was artificially influenced to think darkly, and thus was swayed to become a bit of a sl*t. Still, Jezebel is actually very good-natured and kind, and though flirtatious, she's cheerful and a nice moodmaker.
In the fanfiction, she plays Queen.

Uso: Childhood friend of Makoto's and a simple knight who joined the group on a crusade to help them destroy the Shadow Lord.VERY formal and polite, usually sticking to formal language and calling everyone he knows “Milord” or “Milady”. He's actually only around 22 or 23, but has the deepest male voice on my end of the franchise.
In the fanfiction, he plays Zunzan, assorted one-line extra characters, and narrates.

Aoi: Self-proclaimed greatest Veros ever. Childhood friend of Nin, Makoto, and Kaiden. Kaiden's totally in love with her, but she herself is in love with Rolf and just sees Kaiden as an obnoxious big brother. Still VERY close to Kai, though, and is always there to calm him down when he gets worked up. While initially cruel, arrogant, snappy, and VERY sarcastic, Aoi experienced a life-changing event in her reality (alternate realities the group is sent to to teach them a lesson/help them grow/torture them) that caused her to gain a whole new outlook on her dark and troubled past. While still sarcastic and resistant to looking stupid, she's significantly more cheerful and now actually SMILES and tries to help people.
Unfortunately, we caught her at a bad time here. :U
In the fanfiction, she plays May.

Jay: Appaele's little brother, and the only light Veros in the group. Jay is rather immature, and is very childish, innocent, and cheerful. Though he can quickly become mature and comfort people when need be, Jay prefers to hide from the world in a mask of happiness. He's really deep. :U
Has never really experienced anything life-changing, even though he's surrounded by people that keep dying. He's a surprisingly strong kid. :U
In the fanfiction, he plays himself.

Appaele: Snotty, a bit arrogant, and spunky, Appaele was one of the first members of the group. She's madly in love with Rolf and behaves in a VERY tsundere manner around him. She holds a grudge against Aoi, her love rival, partially because she knows Aoi is a threat, and partially just because Appaele is top-heavy and has practically no hips, and Aoi's hips are HUGE even if she's really bottom-heavy and has practically no bust. :U Appaele can often be a Leeroy Jenkins and rushes into battle without thinking a lot, but deep down, she's rather protective of her loved ones and is very loyal. She keeps the place light with all her antics.
In the fanfiction, she plays herself.

Disco: Quiet and unassuming, Disco is Blaze's sister and a Shadow by possession. Though she longs to be a Veros, she feels responsible to Blaze and, despite being the younger sibling, takes care of him and makes sure he doesn't do anything TOO stupid. She is also a childhood friend of Appaele and Jay's, and is very friendly with the Veros and her fellow Shadows.
In the fanfiction, she plays herself.

Nin: Childhood friend of Makoto and Aoi's, and Tzigana's boyfriend. :U Nin is a gentleman, but is also FIERCELY protective of all his friends. He's stubborn, though a careful planner. Nin gets stressed very easily, though usually deals very calmly with the situation. Unless it involves Shadows, who he hates. He especially despises Kaiden, not only because Kaiden is constantly making advances on Aoi that trigger Nin's protective Big Brother side, but also because in Nin's own reality, Kaiden was the main antagonist and literally killed everyone Nin loved. So yeah, he's got a grudge against the guy :U
He's one of the only people here who's actually somewhat willing to go along with these crazy stunts. He can get a bit embarrassed when confronted about his relationship with Tzigana, but he knows he likes her and he knows she likes him, so he just deals with it.
Refers to me as “Mom” whenever we do fourth-wall stuff with him because everyone is aware of the fourth wall here and he knows he's a figment of my imagination. His character was based loosely around Shun from Bakugan. I didn't actually steal him either XDD
In the fanfiction, he plays himself.

Braeden: Son of Melissa and her second husband, and Kaiden's half-brother. The most stereotypical delinquent out there; he wears a sarashi, has a backwoods accent, fights using a RUSTY CROWBAR, and is overall Yankee: The Character.
Because of time-travel shenanigans that are complicated to explain, Braeden is only three years younger than Kaiden. However, his mom only cared about having a son to replace Kaiden, and when Braeden doesn't live up to her expectations, she begins to neglect him (hence the “That's the nicest you've EVER spoken to me” line in Book Three :UU). Thus, Braeden becomes self-sufficient, and learns to get his approval by going out drinking, partying, and sleeping around with a crazy amount of women that by this time probably have his children, let's be honest with ourselves here.
Basically, the guy's a huge mess.
Braeden can be just as much of a troll as the rest of his family (except replace his dad with Aiden), but can also play the Straight Man when the need arises.
...Just don't leave him alone in any rooms with women.
In the fanfiction, he plays Rolf (perhaps ironically because Rolf tries to divert everyone's attention and this guy tries to get everyone's attention).

Eliza: A member of the First Veros with Marsha and Ironia. Loofy, ditsy, and very giggly, Eliza is one of the moodmakers of the group. She's kind and goodnatured, and though limited in what her powers can do, her affinity for the Veros keeps her following the group around and assisting them with teleportation needs.
She can occasionally be a bit of a prankster or will say things that sound dark or mean for Eliza.
In the fanfiction, she plays herself.

I can make a list for people who don't belong to me also (AKA the roles everyone is playing), if you want that too :UU
