Hiiiiii (a cookie to anyone that gets the reference)
« on: June 01, 2015, 01:08:18 am »
I realized it’s been 3 years since I joined, but I never made an intro.  So, here it is.  Sorry, for being late.  And thanks for those that put up with me for all those years.

Q: How did you get into Idolm@ster?
It’s a long story.  It started way back in 2011 when Idolm@ster 2 was just released on Xbox 360.  Around the same time one of the anime news sites I visited had an article about the anime that was coming out.   I was curious and checked out a couple of concerts gameplay videos.  The songs and dance really amazed me, and some of the idols were very pretty like Miki.  However, I was still hesitant since it seemed like one of those visual novels or harem animes where it’s kind of boring especially with wimpy, lame male characters.

That’s when I discovered about Touma and Team Jupiter.  I was like finally I get to see some cool, tough male characters, and I really liked them.  So, my decision to give the anime a try was because of Team Jupiter, and I still highly respect them even until this day even though they moved on to SideM.

When I watched the anime, I wasn’t too impressed by it.  That changed until ep 13 when the idols performed Rest@rt.  I was amazed at the animated dance choreography and I remember replaying that video clip for an hour straight.  The anime got a little bit better, and I became interested in Chihaya after her episodes (though I really hated the producer for being lame, weak, and not doing much for Chihaya when compared to the game).  After the anime I decided to play Idolm@ster 2 PS3.  I chose Chihaya since I’ve seen story gameplay videos and loved the story and romance with her.  Since then, I became an Idolm@ster fan and eventually played OFA.  I also played Shiny Festa on the iphone, but I really didn’t like it.

Q: Who’s your favorite idol woman in the world?
Chihaya.  Especially post-character development.   I love her looks, voice, and personality (she’s mature but is loving/caring while being awkwardly cute).  I still yet have to give a full explanation.

Full Explaination Here

http://forum.project-imas.com/index.php/topic,25.msg61375.html#msg61375

Q: What’s your unit name?
Nemurihime.  It was named after the Idolm@ster 2 manga with the same name.  Coincidently, my unit is the same as the manga, which consist of Chihaya (leader), Miki, and Haruka.  Nemurihime is also the name of the song she sings in the anime during her episode.

Q: Why is your user name mariokirby?
Both Mario and Kirby were my favorite childhood franchises, and I still love them even until now.   When I was a kid I would annoy my parents since I begged them to buy a game or toy from Mario or Kirby.  Of course, the answer 99% of the time was “No!”  So, I learned to do chores for people and saved money.

Q: What does Hiiii mean?
My username is a hint.

Q: What games do you play?
Here a list of games I currently own.  It should get you an idea on other franchises that I like.

PS3/PS4
-Idolm@ster One for All
-Vanquish
-Metal Gear Rising: Revengence
-Final Fantasy XV Demo

Wii U
-Mario Kart 8
-Super Smash Bros. Wii U
I also liked Ninja Gaiden II (Xbox360), but I no longer own that console.  I also played lot of JP fighting games and JRPGs.

What are your favorite animes?

I watched a lot of good animes especially from Crunchyroll.  Below are those that I imported the blu-rays.
-2011 Idolm@ster + Movie + Shiny Festa OVAs (I honestly think the anime is average.  I just bought it to support Idolm@ster)
-Free! (Both Seasons)

What are your favorite mangas?

The only manga I read mostly is Idolm@ster related. I imported…
-Nemurihime
-Idolm@ster mana (based off the anime)
-Colorful Days
-Idolm@ster Fight!! Vol 1

What about ep 9? I found that episode to be so funny! I wish there were more anime with 765 Pro. However their stories seem to have been wrapped up nicely already.

Also, what's that Idolm@ster Fight manga you listed? Never heard of it before, but the title sounds intriguing. ^^

You're right. That Ami/Mami episode was pretty funny, and I liked it myself.  I also wish there were more 765pro anime, but it's unlikely going to happen. (I hoped that they could restart the story with a new producer and ideas like OFA since I don't like the old producer.)  Right now Cinderella Girls is next and probably Million Live after that.

The Idolm@ster Fight!! manga I mentioned was referring to this.  It has nothing to do with fighting by the way.

It's a collection of different web comics based on OFA that's updated every week.  Unfortunately, since the 1st volume is out, they took out all comics that appeared in that volume from the website.  So, the only way is to see the previous web comics is to get the volume or know someone that actually saved all those comics.  I saved only a few of them, but not most of them.

Down Taunts for days!

Anyway, nice to finally get to know you. A little surprised that you got into the series thanks to Jupiter who, ironically enough, almost killed the franchise. They're good characters, I'm just saying. =P

Down Taunts for days!

And MetalPredat0r gets the cookie.  Hiiii is one of Kirby's taunts in the smash bros series.

Hope you're having fun on Friday game nights.  Maybe someday I might join.

I recently read the 9/18 incident on the wiki (Tokyo Game Show 2010).  I was pretty disappointed with the treatment that Jupiter got.  I really like them a lot.  Unfortunately, because of that incident I don't think Jupiter will interact with the 765pro idols anymore.  And, they probably won't add any more male idols that will involve with 765pro either.  I like the SideM concept, but I don't have much attachment to anyone other than team Jupiter.

I can haz cookie pl0x?

Sorry, I gave it to MetalPredat0r.  You can ask him for it if he hasn't eaten it yet.

Good to know you better, especially we both give out the crown to Chihaya ;)

About Jupiter, personally I don't think it's a bad thing at all, to add three guys into a game where you can mess with 13 girls, plus they're not playable characters. Basically it's just those stubborn otaku players don't want to see male characters in such a game, that's why this game went down for a while.

I really like how Touma reacted to Kuroi's dirty moves towards Takane & Chihaya, especially when he decided to quit 961Pro in split second. If it wasn't Shouta holding him back, I'm pretty sure he'll kick Kuroi's ass, HARD. That way he gained my respect, I was hoping there will be extra stories with them in OFA, but that will probably cause recreation of 918 and even worse, annihilate the franchise.

Very true.  It's nice to know that there are others here who are so completely in love with Chihaya as I am.

It's sad, but there nothing one can do about it.  I personally like seeing cool male characters since I could relate to them more than lame male characters.  I personally wish the 765pro producers were the same age as the idols (like 16 years old) yet are as cool as Jupiter.

I really like how Touma reacted to Kuroi's dirty moves towards Takane & Chihaya, especially when he decided to quit 961Pro in split second. I agree.  I interpreted that scene as Kuroi was going to try to do something bad again when they started playing back the music to Chihaya's concert during her episode in the anime.  But, Touma was like, this crap stops right now!, and prevented Kuroi from doing anything else further to ruin Chihaya's concert.

I find it heroic that Team Jupiter would sacrifice fame and glory in order to do what is right.  I just wish they would get more credit (I know they gave a hard time to 765pro, but that was mostly because of Kuroi's lies and evil schemes).  Sadly, there wasn't a scene with Chihaya thanking Jupiter for showing concern for her and stopping Kuroi with force even if it meant they would lose their jobs as idols.

Unfortunately, Jupiter or any male idols will probably never be relevant with 765pro again.  I like Leon, but I still miss Jupiter.

Unrelated, but there is another example of Jupiter doing good even if there are consequences. There was a scene in one of the Jupiter mangas where Jupiter was attending a festival, but a little girl was chasing her lost balloon.  So, Touma took off his belt from his yukata and used it to grab the balloon to give back to the little girl.  Of course, he had to embarrass himself since taking off his belt would mean his underwear was exposed.  But, it is to illustrate how far Jupiter is willing to go to help people.

It was actually more "You remove four characters that were there since the beginning and bring in these three boys" since Ryuuguu Komachi was announced at the exact same time to be NPCs in the story mode.

Which sucks, cuz I like the boys. It took some time, but they grew on me.

More like she didn't know it was Touma doing it at all.

About producer being a 16 years old boy... that's probably impossible because you need to be over 18 to apply such jobs, even if it's just anime, there are still things need to fit the laws from real world.

If it's like that, then there's probably nothing to argue with. (Almost forgot the unit even if I watched the anime :-X )

I know, but still it would have been nice to know that your rivals were actually your allies at that dire moment.

In the Idolm@ster Break! manga, the producer is actually 16 years old since he's the grandson of the president.  Unfortunately, even this producer was kind of lame.  But, the point is that if Chihaya or another idol would like to have a romantic relationship with the producer, then I would like the producer to be around the same age.  It's just something I personally prefer.  Obviously, they need to make it so that the young producer is cooler and mature.  I also personally prefer just one idol falling in love with the producer and not all of them.   If the idols just want to be friends, then I guess it doesn't matter what the producer's age is.

Well, I'm sure you know in the anime world pretty much anything is possible.  Like in shounen anime band-aids heal everything.  They could make a 16 year old producer be a grandson of the president like in the Break! manga.  Or, they could get some connections and have a producer volunteer or something to gain experience.  Point is that you can make up anything, and it will fit just fine.

Sorry, for double posting.

I wanted to write what my mind was experimenting for a fanfic (it's going to be terrible and cliched).   I've been experimenting on a new producer who is young (like I mentioned before), but has a dark past during his childhood.  He currently wants to become an idol.  However, he failed the audition to become a rookie idol despite being a very gifted, talented person.  So, with connections and advice he is to produce the 765pro idols, which will allow him to understand what he's lacking.  Along the way he befriends Jupiter, Leon, other characters, etc.

I thought it might be interesting since the conflict is that he doesn't want to be a producer in the long run, but no one really knows that.  In addition, he's in conflict with himself not only with his past but also seeing the success of the 765pro idols, which makes him very jealous though he tries to hide it from them.  Chihaya loves him dearly since he single-handlely supported and helped her overcome her past (as seen in the games).  But, she has trouble reaching out to him.

Maybe, I might start a new topic in the fanfic section.  I don't know.  I just wanted to get that idea out even if it's kind of dumb.

Nothing is dumb in fanfic's world, if you have a will to try, just do it! ;D

I always want to do a story based on Ace Combat 6 or some sort of mecha stuff, in a fictional world like Stranegreal.

Welcome!

In regards to fanfics...they're hard, but if you do it right, they can be really fun and great. If you're scared the content will be weird...

Remember I wrote a horror story with the iM@S girls and crossed-over iM@S with Tekken and killed like everyone and turned all the girls into wzards then crossed it over with XENOGLOSSIA of all things and everybody loved them.
x'DDDDD
I don't know why since I sucked at writing when I wrote those but whatever

ONWARDS, AOSHIMA!!!
