Very,
very good call, indeed. Tonight was a blast, so I'm looking forward for more friendly faces to do rounds with.
Glad to know that you two had a great time, despite wonky issues with my internet in the beginning. ^_^;
If nothing else that wonkiness lead to an in-joke where you're perpetual ender of the world. Woopie and such. :U
Hey, sorry about leaving so early. I'm kind of acting like a butler for my parents.
Also, sorry, I wasn't not talking much. Just trying to be polite and all.
Anyways, great session. I had a lot of fun.
How was the lag for Smash bros?
@everyone
Do you guys know each other? You guys seem pretty close.
@Deviantprotagonist
Dean, how are you so good on 200cc? I don't understand. If I go too fast I hit the wall, but if I brake, then everyone passes me up.
Good man. Modesty of that nature is something I fancy, so I'm content with having you as a friend. Sm4sh went much better than expected, owing to little if any input lag. In regards to 200cc, I've to say it's my favourite way to play Mario Kart 8 now, solely because it makes braking relevant again. As a result, a strategy is imposed where you need to moderate this.
The biggest thing to remember is to
never brake before you initiate a drift. Should you
only brake during a drift instead, you can capitalize on the momentum prior to drifting, and once you release the drift you'll easily regain speed thanks to the resulting boost. This is pretty much paramount when racing on unforgiving tracks like Dragon Driftway and Neo Bowser City.
Another thing worth considering is to only feather the brake button -- like pressing it briefly as opposed to holding it down outright, which does more harm than good. There's also fact I use inward turning bikes like the Comet, which handle differently in that they've a sharper drifting radius and better acceleration; maybe you can look into these if you've still issues.
@kirby I was actually a new guy amongst y'all too.
Anyways, tonight was pretty cool. Glad I got to hang out with everyone and that I finally got my internet working. Looking forward to next week!
Great to have you, Esteban. I was surprised of your consistent win streak in Sm4sh, despite the six month hiatus.
I'd very much like to hope it was our being weary after 2+ hours play and not us sucking horribly to begin with. :U
