Recently I found out about Ghosts. They've been around in Japan for over a decade, but they never really took off in the west. They're often referred to as Ghosts, but what they are is like Desktop Buddies. You can interact with them, have dialogue, and whatever else you have the coding ability to add to them.

I've been thinking of making some desktop buddies for years.
I think making a puchimas set would be so fun. I wish I had art skills though that's the only thing that's been holding me back all this time. I think it'd be a fun little coding project.

Interesting! I have a ton of shimejis but I've never heard of these.

As we are not working with 3D models, it will be more complicated since we need to prepare like thousands of PNG pictures for their animations. What do you do with this... drawing all of them by your own? You'll be exhausted even before you can take on the script part.
