Wow.  I honestly never knew that. 

So, if I'm understanding correctly the Asian version is not really an "Asian" version, but more like an "international" version.  While there is an Asian account and Asian PSN stores, the Asian version of games allows you to log in to a specific game's DLC store from any PSN region account such as from NA or EU.

I'm not sure what language is the PSN menu for the asian version.  I'm assuming you can choose the language such as English.  But, the DLC for the "Asian" version won't work for other versions of the game such as JP.  At least you won't need to create a JP account or need Yen since you pay with whatever currency you have on you own foreign PSN account.

One problem as you pointed out earlier is if games or things like Im@s channel don't have an Asian version or something, then you're out of luck unless you have a JP account.

That sounds pretty cool.  I hope I got that down correctly though it sounds confusing at first, so I may have made a mistake somewhere in my explanation.  This might come in handy later on since sometimes Asian versions actually have english subtitles with JP voices while other versions don't have this option.

Again, I apologize for not knowing this.  I have been using my JP account for a long time and assumed that the Asian version is a completely separate entity like JP, NA, EU.  I appreciate you for taking the time to explain this to me.

I'm not sure if it's also available worldwide. But if you wanna find out, as in my country, OFA is categorized as "Unique Game" in the store. And yes, iM@S Channel is for JP only and will not recognize international version of OFA.

Unfortunately, iM@S games are always in Japanese. During an interview last time the main staff came to visit Taiwanese fans, he said that they are planning to do translations. But as we can see, OFA is still in Japanese. So I'm afraid we will have to practice Japanese a bit longer, unless they decided to do so with the upcoming PS4 title.

Anyway, you don't need to apologize for anything, since NBGI didn't make it clear that they have two versions of OFA at all.

So, I can't log in with the Asian version using a NA account?  Wait a minute.  To me, it sounds like you need an Asian account after all.  I assumed when you said foreign PSN users that meant other regions like NA or EU can log in with their account into the Asian version and the Asian PSN without having to create a separate Asian account.  That would make buying DLC easier since I don't need another account thus not needing separate PSN cards to buy stuff. Was this what you meant or did I imply your statement wrong?  I'm sorry, if I implied it wrong.

Then, the only advantage (at least for me) with the Asian version is the PSN menu would be in English?  I would still need to create an Asian account.  And, I'm guessing I would need to buy separate Asian PSN cards since the currency is different?  Unless they take Paypal, then that's okay.

So, if I'm following this correctly.  The Asian version of a game means that only Asian PSN region has access to the Asian version of that game thus needing an Asian PSN account.  Other region PSN like US or EU have nothing to with Asian PSN.  Therefore, only games that are released in NA or EU would appear in the US and EU PSN as the NA and EU versions, respectively.  You won't find the Asian or JP version of a game on the NA or EU PSN.  That's why people need to create separate accounts.  Some games are only released in other regions.

Yes you would need separate accounts. I currently have a Chinese and a Japanese account, and I use my dad's American account for the time being.
In Asian region, you can change your language settings to be English if you want, and it's actually pretty cute because they have English descriptions and names for the iDOLM@STER DLCs even though the game is still in Japanese.

When I owned my JP XBOX360 and boxm@s, I had a lot of Asian region games. Several of these games were playable on my JP system, and because they were Asian version they had an English or Chinese option. Some PS3 games also have similar options for English versions for the Asian version, but iDOLM@STER is yet to be one of these games.

Yes, you still need PSN cards in Asian currency (e.g. NTD, HKD, RMB or JPY) if you wanna buy games or DLC. As for others you've mentioned, I think you've got the picture.

For me I have two accounts (primary is TW and spare in JP,) but currently I don't own any Japanese games yet.

To clarify, you can use a JP account to get DLC for the Asian version ( I assume vice versa) . I've used both HKD and JPY to buy DLC for OFA (unsure, but probably Asian ver) and iDOLM@STER 2 (Asian ver).
