There was a topic on a big forum about who's the most and least toxic fanbase. I didn't pay much attention until they started discussing some of the nicest fanbases.
One of the most polite fanbases mentioned were the Kirby fans, and I was like cool since I'm a Kirby fan. Though, I don't think I'm quite living up to my name, so I guess I need to try harder.

Kirby fans are usually pretty awesome from what I've seen. They LOVE to speculate about the events of each and every game and I enjoy how observant people can get.
I would talk about a toxic fanbase, but I don't want to bring on a huge argument. Plus, anybody that knows me well can tell EXACTLY what I'm talking about. :/

But yeah, from what I know of Kirby fans, they're awesome.
As far as toxic fan bases, all I'll say is this: you can find toxic members in ANY fan base. Some have a higher concentration of them than others, but you'll find some in everything.
I mean, just look at the kinds of people the im@s fandom found when we allowed guest posting.

From what I was taught as a kid that generally the good people are only a few in real life, unfortunately.

That was actually one of the fanbases that was mentioned in that forum I frequently visited.
EDIT: I hope I didn't open a can of worms. Fanbase is a touchy subject. So, I'll avoid discussing any further. Just wanted to show how cool Kirby is.
