In the Idolmaster 2 story (for those who haven't played it) you actually confess first though indirectly (you basically told her dead brother that "I love her" while Chihaya was sleeping on your shoulder. The irony is that she was actually listening. When she tried to bring it up the following day after her throat was fully healed, she got too embarrassed and couldn't finish her sentence.
She stopped at "You said you lo......" or something like that.
I really like the romance implications in Chihaya's story in the Idolm@ster games.
This is just my fanfiction mind speaking out. But, sometimes I would like to imagine an ideal producer who can pair up with Chihaya (she's the best woman in the world after all). A producer that's same age as Chihaya, athletic, kind, cool, and experienced a dark past similar to Chihaya and thus can sympathize with her. Obviously, I have more to say (I know my fanfics sound kind of lame), but I think you get the picture.

Oh, my, God. :o (You made me wanna buy iM@S 2 and find out exactly what happened immediately. XD)
I actually have quite the same fan fiction like yours; the more you get along with her, the more you know about her, thus you have a will to protect this girl and wish to give her a bright future.

If you really want to play Idolm@ster 2 I highly suggest using this guide...

It even has idol communication choices.
The game mechanics in the game are kind of different compared to One for All. You have very limited time to complete tasks required for the true ending. So, there is little room for mistakes. Also, you need certain amulets like the decay amulets and master the "Two focus style" to score well on stages/festivals. Which means you probably have to play the main game (not necessarily the entire thing) to collect the items/costumes you need before restarting a new game with those items on hand so that you can beat all the festivals on time.
Unfortunately, it's not possible to see every promotion scene for one idol in one playthrough. The game is meant to be played multiple times to view all promotions, which I never did. I just got the true ending.
Sounds like a difficult task. If you don't want to play, you can watch the videos I posted. That's pretty good enough. If you do want to play Idolm@ster 2, then we will be more than willing to help you out.
If you want to see some Promotion videos for Chihaya in Idolm@ster 2, just let me know.

Wow, thanks for sharing those videos! I'm sure I'll just enjoy them since I know iM@S 2 requires slightly more technique than OFA does. Due to my terrible Japanese and physical coordination, I'm afraid even if I know what I should do, it'll take forever for me to beat the game for just once.
