I like Chihaya with most songs, but she sounds a bit forced in GO MY WAY!! and especially during the melody in Fate of the World ("iranai kara" is a big miss). That being said, she sounds great in Shizuka na Yoru ni Negai o, so hopefully her CD comes out great.

Ah my bad. Yeah this series feels quite different from the previous Master Artists. No dofu, no talk tracks, songs only. At least the music is nice which is what counts. I like the outfits, but I never really cared about this artist's style (supposedly the anime imitated them, and now they're imitating the anime that imitated them, odd). The backgrounds are a bit odd as well, but I don't think anything can manage to be bad as the laziness that was the cover to Thank You.

I think he meant the background and I agree with that (and the artist's style as well). Though nothing beats LTP 01's as the worst jacket art ever.

LTP 05 is pretty damn close for me, imo.

Though honestly, I don't find the cover arts for MA3 bad, but Makoto's seems a bit weird for me. Its the seductive look.

Yeah, that's it. The way its drawn seems a bit off-putting because of that. Really, if this is a new artist, I can give them the benefit of the doubt for being their first time. This could possibly mean that the later cover arts will look better over time.

This is making me more excited for the other idols' old songs. With older songs like shiny smile and It's Show making return appearances, I'm really hoping for more fun solo versions!

Also, when a cover is nothing but a crop out of pictures, a weird background color, and an odd italicized font, it just shows that they don't care.

I'm still surprised there's no talk tracks at all, even considering they weren't in the Prologue album as well. I kinda miss those.

And as far as cover art goes... I think it could be worse. It's not the lack of uniformity that bothers me about it, though. I'm actually more bothered by the covers not mentioning the MASTER ARTIST series at all. I'd confuse them for OFA official art if I didn't know otherwise.

Yayoi will probs do Ai Like Hamburger or atleast I hope she will.Next possibility is Chikutaku
Azusa or Ritsuko I can see doing Shalala
Chihaya with Omoide o Arigatou most likely
Iori will probs do Nanairo Botan
Miki will probably do Kyun Vampire girl even though I wish Takane would solo it because her version is so much better

and i honestly dunno about the twins
but maybe they'll do something out of the blue and do some throwback songs like Suki, Shining Star, Virgin Load,Anata no Hitokoto, Straight Love or Jump

Chihaya: I... Honestly have no idea? It could be something totally out of left field like Slapp Happy (as stated) or a throwback song, but I'm drawing a blank.
Mami: Do-Dai, definitely, given it was her image song in imas 2.
Yukiho: Little Match Girl or an Azumin version of Cosmos, Kosmos
Yayoi: Ai Like Hamburger or Issho
Azusa: Hanikami sounds pretty plausible; I can see Shalala as well
Ami: Smoky Thrill or Suki
Ritsuko: ??????? idk. I would love to see Smoky Thrill though.

I'd love to hear Chihaya sing Alive and/or Koi Kaze one day. Probably won't happen though.

Based on the (admittedly vague) song choices for this first set, they seem to either get a solo of a group song or a song that's connected to them. I would think something like Takane and My Best Friend is the most obvious example, but they could definitely dig up some unique choices for the others that I can't really guess which could happen. Please no LMG for Yukiho, though. It's the incredibly obvious option and would just be a huge waste when they could settle for a unique song or have Azumin sing an image song. Still need those MASTERS, Namco.
