Hi!
« on: October 21, 2014, 11:44:32 am »
Hi everyone, I filled out part of this questionnaire. I hope I'll be getting to know you guys better from now on, seems like a lot of threads are inactive but I'm looking forward to discussing the games/music/figures/whatever with you all - don't disappoint me!

Q: How did you come across this site?
A: I was a member once before, before the forum was rebuilt in 2009 ^_^ under a different user ID.

Q: Why did you join this site?
A: Well I rejoined again because I realized I'd like to talk to people about playing the game again. I haven't posted on a forum in awhile and I forgot how much fun it is~

Q: Do you play it?
A: Yes, I have SP, Shiny Festa (insert thumbs down) and 2.

Q: Who is your fave idol?
A: Takane! I also like Yukiho (before her new CV) and Yayoi.

Q: Why is your username "<insert username here>"?
A:  ::)

Q: What are you in to right now?
A: Books!

Q: What are you up to right now?
A: I should be going to bed, I think

Q: Do you have any expectations from this site?
A: Nope! Perhaps just interesting discussion?

Well, I was here briefly when the forum rebuilt. But I guess things were a little slow back then too, so I just decided to leave for awhile :/ I dropped iM@S for awhile altogether once Cinderella Girls were being released - I just felt so overwhelmed by the franchise, like I couldn't keep up/understand what was going on anymore. But now, I'm here!

WATCH XENOGLOSSIA WATCH XENOGLOSSIA WATCH XENOGLOSSIA

Hello and welcome to the forum!
Did you watch either anim@s or XenoMas?

I also like Yukiho (before her new CV)

Why??? :o  Azumin sang many songs better than Yurishii! For example Me ga au toki, Relations, Omoide wo arigatou, Watashi wa idol, Tonari ni..., my song, i... to put long story short, every song that is not from arcade version (I want and Star to star are the only exceptions).

WATCH XENOGLOSSIA WATCH XENOGLOSSIA WATCH XENOGLOSSIA

:') I'm not a super big fan of Xenoglossia, I think I watched some of it when it was first airing but it really didn't capture my interest at the time, perhaps I'll try again soon though?

I've watched all of the anime series and I recently saw the movie as well (so good!) I have been keeping up with imas while I've been gone, so it's not like I completely abandoned the franchise. I just took a short break for a few years around when second vision was first announced. I've been catching up for the past 4 months!

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree, I think Yurika has a more unique/mature-sounding voice in a lot of songs (I haven't paid close enough attention to the differences in the master artist tracks to notice a positive difference with Azumin.) I feel like after Yukiho's CV changed, she became more ditzy and childish sounding (when we already had more than enough of those type of characters - it felt like she became a fourth member of the ami/yayoi/iori loli trio.)

I think this is especially evident in tracks like Suki ni natte yokatta, Natsukage, 9:02pm - there's no way Azumin could deliver like that. Not saying she's bad, she's done a fine enough job.. (Little match girl is about as close to original Yukiho as anyone could probably manage!) But I felt like Yurika was a real talent. I guess since I was primarily a fan of Yukiho's singing voice, I feel really sad about her changing actresses.

Do it! I can't wait for our discussion of Xenoglossia! ;)

There are two reasons I prefer Azumin in most cases:
1) I cannot connect Yurishii's mature voice with Yukiho's face there is too much difference between her speaking and singing;
2) Yurishii tends to breathe a lot and I dislike it.

I can understand that! Well, maybe we can go into this discussion in more detail at some point, I don't know if there's a thread devoted to Yurika vs Azu but perhaps it's one worth starting :)

There is a topic where you can express your opinion on the characters' singing voices:
http://forum.project-imas.com/index.php/topic,2056.0.html

By the way, what episode(s) of anim@s is (are) your favourite?

Oh! Thank you! I think my favorite episodes are the episode where Iori and Hibiki eat at Yayoi's house, and of course the idol sports event thing :)

Welcome back! Sorry I'm so late!

But books are great, and I do like Yurishii more than Azumin in terms of Yukiho's singing voice. It was less husky and just...odd, back then.

ONWARDS, AOSHIMA!!!
