Everything that's wrong with the fighting game community. Just for the record, I'm not bashing you, ZetaFlare, just bringing up what you have mentioned.
I would hope that people who play Smash bros could take themselves a little less seriously...come on guys, it's a game where Sonic can fight Pacman.
That being said, I'm looking forward to casually enjoying this game. Every character announcement has filled me with the same joy as Brawl!

You'd be surprised what's taken seriously. I will say that I do follow the competitive scene and the complaints about Meta Knight are justified. This is a character that actually NEEDS to be fixed not just because of tournament rules, but because a lot of players, both casual and competitive, began to hate Meta Knight for being too powerful. I just hope that Sonic can KO this time.
MetalPredat0r:
Single Player Mode details for the 3DS Version.
http://www.smashbros.com/us/3ds/index.html
- Classic Mode is undergoing a massive overhaul. Difficulty is determined via a Wager System where you can bet a certain amount of coins to raise the difficulty. The harder the difficulty, the harder the game, and the more rewards you earn such as trophies and character customization options. Anybody that has played Kid Icarus Uprising is sure to know what this is. You can also choose your path for each stage in Classic Mode similar to Street Fighter III: Third Strike.
-Stadium Mode returns with three modes: Multi-Man Smash, Target Blast, and Home Run Contest. Multi-Man and Home Run should be familiar to Melee and Brawl players, though Multi-Man Smash's opponents are now the Miis. Target Blast is a new mode where you hit a bomb towards a tower filled with targets. The more of the tower is destroyed, the higher your score. Think Angry Birds, only in Smash Bros. and not an unnecessary sell-out. ;)!
In addition, one thing to note about the 3DS' controls.
-All Smash attacks MUST be done with the Circle Pad and A Button. C-Stick attacks are not in this version because the 3DS only has one analog stick and as far as I know the Circle Pad Pro is NOT supported. This is most likely gonna be in the Wii U version as the Wii U GamePad, Wii U Pro Controller, Wii Classic Controller, and GameCube Controller all have dual analog by default.
That's all the info I got.

I have to agree with this, as someone who's on the border of playstyle (I like to play in competitive styles, but hold a more casual attitude about it when compared to others and am not adverse to playing more casually either - if any of that makes sense). It's one thing for high-tiered characters to exist, but if something is stupidly powerful compared to almost all other options, they aren't INTENTIONALLY trying to be overpowered (I've seen some chars in other fighters who're built this way) and the scale's tilted to such an extent where many players agree that it's too powerful to use in a structured environment (or at least, a structured as Smash can get), then... as for Sonic, at least he isn't being rushed this time. I hope.
I've seen much more serious attitudes over other fighting games than Smash - and it's those attitudes which are why I hold resistance to trying to be truly "competitive" in a game, fighter or not (that, and I don't think I can afford to have a game pay my bills in this manner, I'm not quite THAT good). I try to be "competitive" because I enjoy the challenges - not because I enjoy the attitudes over playing in such a style.

Intentionally Overpowered Characters: Lookin' at you, Cable......
Yeah, I'm the same attitude. I play SOMEWHAT competitively, but I hold a casual mindset in that everything I do is for pure fun. I am no Justin Wong or Chris G and cannot enter these tournaments to play for mad cash. I almost won a loser's bracket in Injustice but got curb-stomped by Batman! Thankfully balance patches exist so that in case we DO get something ridiculous, we can just wait for a patch to fix things up. Gotta love the internet! ^-^! As for Sonic, again, Sakurai did say that the ENTIRE roster was decided on before the game itself entered development and Sonic was announced REALLY early, last October in fact, so its safe to say he isn't rushed.

I wish that people would shut up at the stupid Melee vs. Brawl debates and just play the games they enjoy without bickering each other.
